Lots of features. Useful for batch conversion. Lots of odd codecs are in there. Does not tax the system. Very fast. Interface can be better. Once you are used to it, it is easy. Very useful

Small footprint so it doesn't take long to view/convert pics even on slow computers.Lots of functionality - fast batch processing for lots of files.Easy to use for beginnersOne of the "essential" programs that every PC owner should have. How does Irfan Survive? He makes a great product and gives it away - Not a fu8ll function graphics editor. Bosnian Native Irfan Skiljan is a genius who has shared his talent with the world. While professionals are supposed to pay for this software, it is based on honesty and I wonder how Irfan survives. Irfanview is a multi-format graphics viewer/converter. Anyone who shares pics with friends or works with graphics professionally should have this in their bag of tricks. It is fast, easy and powerful. One of the best programs ever made for pictures.

Fastest way to view photos. Loaded with features for more advanced graphic manipulators yet simple enough for people that just want to look at their pictures.I like the easy screen captures, cropping, change file formats, lossless jpg rotate... Can't think of any. Desired improvements of older versions have all been addressed. Fast, easy to use for all experience levels, loaded with features, and ITS FREE !

I have been using this for years and the latest version is just as good. Automatically views just about anything. Minor - menu structure is a bit clunky There are lots of file viewers around, some free some paid for. This is totally free with no ads or reminders, can be set up to run as default viewer. Little to say wrong with it really.

For a free program it has a good assortment of tools. I don't find it as user-friendly as FastStone, or as simple to use. I miss the menus on the side and the thumbnails on top. Unfortunately, FS is not working on my Win7 64-bit computer, so I was forced to find an alternative. If you need a good photo viewing program, this will do. But it's not the best.

You can't beat this little application for its simplicity and small footprint. Sometimes, when viewing a series of photos in a folder, I get to the end and find that I cannot back up without restarting the app. I've been using this app for years and it just keeps getting better and better. I use it to resize, crop and rotate photos, remove red-eye and more. Irfan is a genius who keeps adding value to his basic viewer.

its ok if you dont have any other picture editing programs, I have nerophoto snap and Gimp. (Gimp is another free editing prgram that allows way more options. I do have some advanced paid for programs. which made this program useless to me. ONLY PROS I can speak of is IT`S FREE GOOD FOR A YOUNG BEGINNER,....THE COMPETITION IS WAY TOO ADVANCED TO WASTE MUCH NEEDED MEMORY IN YOUR COMPUTER. Go with GIMP.
