IrfanView is a fast, simple freeware image viewer and editor that supports all major graphic formats, including BMP, DIB, JPEG, GIF, animated GIF, PNG, PCX, multipage TIFF, TGA, and more. In addition, it features drag-and-drop support, directory viewing, TWAIN support, slide shows, batch conversion, and modifications such as color depth, crop, blur, and sharpen. The IrfanView PlugIns package offers additional file formats and effects for IrfanView.

fast, easy, powerful, no bugs none that I have encountered I have been using Irfan View for years! It is an excellent piece of software for FREE. The plugins add a lot of great functionality. Powerful image editing - if you don't need to go to the extent of photoshop and the associated slow load, learning curve, etc. - this little tool is amazing!

Conversion was fast and easy. There was no batch-conversion option. Each file had to be converted separately.

No time is wasted when you use this program. None and I've used it a long time. Botton line? Well if your time is valuable, save time with this program.

I have tried xnview, acdsee an number of others and found this irfanview most suitable for viewing any kind of image, I can't see any problem with it after using it for many years on a daily basis, it did not support unicode some time ago but now it does, just perfect program as far as I am concerned. Thanks to the developer!

download it, install it, configure it and start using it, all in 3 minutes. Having to download this program on all my family's and friend's computers because they are too dumb to realize how crappy the generic picture viewing software is out there, and they suffer for years not knowing any better. No color profile support? For 95% of your viewing and basic editing needs, this gets it done.

Does what the author says it will some plug-in's don't work for me, but most do okay For a free editor it works well for simple tasks
