Say the Time 10.0

Say the Time by Impaque Technologies Screenshot Say the Time Screenshot

Say the Time is an attractive timepiece that announces the date, time, or both, at specified intervals using a male or a female voice. Along with literally telling the time, it lets you set multiple reminders, each of which can display a message, play a sound, or run a program. Reminders can also be set to recur hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or at start up.

Says the time, regularly, every hour. Will state reminders as scheduled Help section is rather lackingCalendar is confusing to use. You are scheduling reminders for events, not the actual event. The mode of reminders is very limited, sound or a voice stating reminder. Google Calendar is much better and cheaper (free) This is great for me because with the crazy schedules in my household, having this program means I never have to remember to stop and look at the clock. It keeps me on track all day. It's worth it to me because I work from home and manage the schedules here (doctor, tutor, sports, school, work, etc) for everyone. If I was not at home for the majority of the day, I would have no need for a program like this.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! It is mediocre, overpriced, and the seller is disreputable. I bought Version 9 but could not move it to a new PC because it is no longer available for download -- not anywhere. They offered me Version 10 for $20, but the application is not worth half that. I say they are disreputable because they have made it impossible to contact someone by phone to hash out problems. If you have any support issues, which you will, you will be SOL, since their e-mail tech support -- one person named Amy, apparently -- takes weeks to get back to you if she bothers to respond at all. One more thing: the announce feature is actually an annoyance. Who wants a robotic voice announcing the time when you can see it perfectly well in this applications task bar display?
