Nothing at all. DB Power Amp won?t even start properly, much less work. DB Power Amp simply didn?t work. My goal is to convert audio books from wav files to AAC files. I installed DB Power Amp, tried to load a wav file. Now it?s complaining it needs an AAC encoder. Well, why isn?t that part of the program? It?s only the latest and greatest audio format, used by Apple and jillions of people. The program is fussy about where the encoder goes. It took 3 tries to figure it out. Okay, that?s where it goes. Load the wav file again.Stupid program, now it?s whinging that it doesn?t have a codec! What did I just blooming install? First it wants an encoder, then a codec. This program is retarded. The question mark button opened a page on the DB Power Amp website, explaining the codec, but oh, no download link. Yet again, how pointless.I found the right page and downloaded the m4a codec. The installer is no help with where this codec is supposed to go. I installed to the install folder, looked at the folder names, then copied everything over to the DB Power Amp folder. The program has a list that shows all the codecs that are installed. It says the m4a codec is there, but when I open the program, it?s whinging that m4a is not installed! This is what happens when 2 slow cousins get married and their child becomes a computer programmer. The codec is there but DB Power Amp thinks it?s not there. When I ran a conversion, it just made a 0 kilobyte file. This program is useless and a total hassle. I?m deleting it.

PerfectMeta is the best meta-data resource available for ripping CDs. Simply amazing Would like to see more active development. 2+ years between versions. Wish developer was paying more attention to this product and not some of the other more actively developed projects by illustrate Simple, secure, accurate! As a CD ripper there is nothing better. Its as accurate as EAC only simple and user friendly. The PerfectMeta service is fantastic, though not perfect and could use some more fine tuning and additional meta-data services.

It is so easy to use. You have numerous choices in converting different types. I have not found anything yet, but if I do will surely let you know

Granted there are freeware apps that do what this program sets out to do, but you will be hard pressed to find all these powerful features anywhere else joined under a single roof. It's a serious alternative for hardcore CD rippers that use EAC but that's only a small part. The tagging and conversion features are excellent and intelligently arranged in an easy-to-use GUI. It even has the latest, hottest feature: SACD/DSDIFF conversion. No, I don't get paid by them, and if the author reads this feel free to send a copy my way :)
