I just DLed some ripped DVDs by FXG, and they were really great quality. Til now I always used VLC, but a few of the FXG movies were stopping midway through the movie. I asked a friend that knows about this stuff, and he told me to try GOM... Bingo! None seen as of yet. So far so good! :)

In general, it plays files that others cannot. It also allows easier forwarding by holding down the left clicker on the mouse on the current position and moving it forward and backward. Great for finding the right spot in any movie. The constant request for Codecs. I wish they had an instant codec updater that loads automatically with all the latest. I am not sure it has the best screen resolution (VLC looks crisper). I have used GOM for some time now and it is my player of choice. I hardly ever use Windows Media Player any more. Some files will not play (so I have VLC and Media Player for those). Does not replace Real Player or Quicktime, but I do recommend this as your default player.

Easy to use, plays all different types of video files, plays video from the place you stopped it last time you viewed the video. Not much to say bad about it ,only that when you install it remember to click the box saying you don't want the ask toolbar or ask as your homepage.

Just a media player!! Will not play dvds at all. Its a basic player and even windows media player is ten times better! Very basic player and installs the Ask toolbar even when you rejected it! Wants you to change your web page to theirs also!! A boring player with zero functions and a waste of time to download!

Use to love this player but KMPlayer and ALShow are also very relaxed, I prefer ALShow because it does everything I want with smoothness. Gomplayer isnt crap, it is just what you prefer but be carefull with installing and uncheck Ask Toolbar

Excellent all-round media player. It plays perfectly out of the box, but allows almost limitless fiddling, if you are fussy, or have some weird file format.Ease of use is superb, It has simple, intuitive controls and auto-hides the tool bar, etc. Only one. I cannot find a codec that allows me to play the built-in subtitles in a .MKV file. However, that's my fault, not GOM's.It also comes with the offer of the Ask toolbar, but you can just opt out of that. Simple, elegant and amazingly powerful. It would be nice if the CODECs all came bundled, but some people would cry 'Spyware'.I have other media players, but very rarely use them for video (I use Media Monkey for audio, because of its powerful organiser). When I first got Windows 7 I blamed GOM for hanging occasionally but it turned out to be just Microsoft again.

This is surely good media player I don't like floating control panel, especially when video resolution changed > gom window resized > control panel is float freely from main window I have experience on VLC, KM, MPCAll programs hardly configure to show movies on my 2nd monitorsExcept this one -> GOM

Seems to play 90 percent of video you throw at it. Still had a couple of files that wouldn't play. Great overall player. Def. one of the best players Ive used. I know use it as my primary video player.
