Mainly the sound on some mediafiles is not good enoughThe flow of the pictures some times on some media files is instable, it is not smooth.

It is my favorite media player. It needs to come with a more complete Codecs. Good product with relatively complete features, but need to provide more Codecs.

Seems to play most files properly. Haven't found the flaws yet. A good media player

Don't know Won't play HD video on my old 3GHz, 1GB Ram computer. See above. If you are in my situation, try Splash Lite, the only one that would play my m2ts HD video files. I also tried all the other popular HD video player software here; only Splash Lite worked -- don't know why more people don't try it (and it's free!).

Plays anything under the sun. Codecs are easily available. Easy to Operate. Color differentiation for different types of files. Volume Control is easy. Didnt find many short comings.

Visually beautiful, codecs galore, tons of addons, and probably the best player in performance and stability. Interface is also decently simple to use. None that I can think of. The BEST player for me at least. VLC is still nice, but I started to run into stability issues recently (subs not running properly etc.), and decided to switch to GOM. No question my favorite.

Love this player, but this version crashes a lot. Crashes a lot. Great interface and easy to use, normally.

Plays every single video file that I have tried to play. Occasionally I'll have to download a codec for a particular file, but it takes me where I need to get the codec...all I have to do is click a button and its fixed. Very dependable and easy to use. It's my default video player now! I love it!

Very user friendly, especially for people who don't like messing around too much with options, codecs, filters, and whatnot. Interface is quite good. GOM player's internal decoders are not powerful enough to properly handle extremely high quality content at times. When the video bitrate is high enough, smooth playback is no longer possible. It will chug and stutter when playing. I have been using GOM Media Player exclusively for a long time(since the days of when there was only the Korean version), until it just couldn't do the job for me. It worked just fine for most videos, but when trying to play high resolution videos with extremely high bitrates, it doesn't always manage to pull it off. GOM player chugs, and the video stutters once every few seconds. When this first happened on my computer running a dual-core Intel Core2Duo CPU, I tried Media Player Classic and Zoom Player, and both could play the video perfectly. A few years later, I gave GOM player one more shot on my new computer with a more powerful quad-core Intel Core i7 920 CPU, but eventually ran into the same problem. GOM player when running its internal decoders are just not powerful enough for certain types of media with extremely high bitrates.Alternative options like Media Player Classic - Home Cinema has DXVA functionality built into its internal decoders to take advantage of your video card to accelerate playback. Others like Zoom Player which utilize external filters like ffdshow can take advantage of your multi-core CPU with multi-threaded functionality of ffdshow. My guess on why GOM player fails to playback extreme quality media smoothly is that, in this day and age, it is still running a single thread on your CPU.If you're a download-and-forget kind of user who doesn't wish to fuss with settings or learn about codecs and filters, and you've never once cared about all this bitrate business in your videos, this is probably going to suit you just fine. Its interface is clean and uncluttered. It
