Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. It has one box for everything: Type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and web pages. @uriel: do you have any proof for this? or is just something you've heard and appeals to your conspiracy theory addiction. Know this before making any allegations: Google Chrome is an OPEN SOURCE software. Why this is important? Well, you can can freely check the code and see if there are some lines there supporting your allegation. Looking forward to see them here... You don;t know where you can grab the sources or the last nighly build, try here: http://www.chromium.org/ http://build.chromium.or...apshots/chromium-rel-xp/ I have all major browsers installed on my computer Firefox 4.0b6, Internet Explorer 9Beta, Opera 10.70, Chromium 8.0.550 and using all of them fervently. I can definitely say that Chromium is the most pleasant experience, ...others can disagree of course.

Spyware folks. Don't let all the great reviews from the Google Chrome team fool you. Do a search for "Google spyware" and see what I mean. Ditch it if you value your privacy.

Hey guys, check this out... I googled "Uriel spyware" and look what came up! http://www.google.com/se...al&client=firefox-a Apparently Uriel is spyware! Avoid him at all costs! My point here is to not believe everything you search for. In this day and age, it is not hard to get conspiracy theories spread. Just posting an idea on the internet will start a flock for people who agreed but never spoke up. Just because they speak up does not mean there is proof. None of the "results" show me any proof of Google doing anything wrong with chrome.

Faster to open and browsing, with lots of a good extensions. But I can't enable the gpu accelerating. Hope the developers improve this feature. Firefox 4 beta 6 still going faster to me.

Google can follow me around the internet any time they wish. I do wonder what some people feel they have to hide, I think that is the problem. Great browser, gets better all the time. BTW:- Paranoia - A psychological disorder characterized by delusions of persecution or grandeur.

Great, as long as you're cool with the guy with the clipboard following you around the library jotting down every item you pick up. Here he is, except this time he's in the form of a full-blown browser from our friends at Google.

To further Input Overload's point Paranoia - Extreme, irrational distrust of others. oh wait, http://www.networkworld....treet-view-driving.html the fact is chrome does alot of collecting behind the scenes as singled out by the differences between SRW Iron and chrome http://www.srware.net/en...iron_chrome_vs_iron.php Distrust of google is not paranoia because they have been caught too many times with their hand in our cookie jars

Chrome is good and fast, but it keeps crashing and closing down by itself for some reason, so that I have to switch to Avant Browser frequently. Latest Avant never crashes, no memory leak, runs table. Please fixed the strange self-closing problem.

FF4 is an improvement, but Chrome, now with enough good extensions, great speed and a nice viewing area is my #1 browser. CHROME has finally done it! After using many browsers, I have found this one solid, lean looking, cool is style and easy to live with. Has an easy setup and the layout for options is user friendly. Have found all sites so far to work well with Chrome. The new Chrome 9 and 10 are simply the best. This is not to say some extensions are a tad better in Firefox and that the fox is not a great browser as well. Just seems like from the quick starting of Chrome to its nice tight look and feel, Chrome has jumped over the Fox this time. FF4 is a solid 4 but the Chrome I would say is indeed a solid 5 start. Opera still has issues. Some sites do not work with Opera. It doesn't seem to remember resized pages and the bookmarks are harder to deal with -- sorry, Opera, as cool as it is in some ways is a 2 or 3 star ratings. SeaMonkey is a solid 3.5 or a 4 star ;)

I'm really trying to put this thing through its paces, but Firefox 3.6.x is just so much more mature and the extensions / addons / plugins for Firefox are far more numerous, far more mature and far more useful. I simply cannot find a reason in Chrome that leads me to want to replace Firefox with it. BUT, I'll keep looking and experimenting with it. Maybe I'm missing things.

I haven't been a huge fan of Google Chrome, but it seems like version 10 is the fastest internet browser on the planet. I love that it has almost as many extensions as Firefox, but it still has far to go in allowing you to customize its appearance. Still exceptional improvement over the last version.

Has the potential to be better than the Opera browser some day.
