Gadwin PrintScreen captures the contents of the screen with a single keystroke. The captured screen can then be sent to the printer or saved to disk as a file in 6 different graphics file formats. It can capture the entire screen, active window, or specified area when the hot key is pressed. The hot key defaults to the PrintScreen key, but users may also define other keys to initiate a capture. Also allows you to e-mail the captured images to recipients of your choice.

Can capture full screen or user selected area of the screen and send it to a file or printer. No cons for me. This is a great FREE printscreen utility. It doesn't come with instructions but is simple enough to figure out. Just press the Print Screen key on your keyboard and Gadwin Printscreen will pop up. The left side has a vertical toolbar where you can select the printer, portrait or landscape, full screen capture (default) or user selected area, and other options. I set it up to capture user selected area. I press the Print Screen key, define the area with the mouse & press Enter. Then I choose portrait or landscape on my printer. The captured area is auto sized to fit the 8.5 x 11 inch paper. This is a great FREE printscreen utility! Updated on May 7, 2011

Free! Customisable to your preferred settings, and easy to change settings as needed. Cons? What cons? It's all good!

Review looks very good and looks good on paper. I constantly use MWSNAP (similar program) and doubt if Gadwin is better but too early to say. I learned MWSNAP with no trouble at all but Gadwin seems a bit harder to master (not sure why - doesn't seem to do much more?) Probably very good but have a look at MWSNAP before deciding.

Easy to use with many cool features. You don't have to take a course to make it work. Can't minimize the application, you have to close it to access other programs.

Easy to figure out how to use, works even when my usual prt sc button fails me, and is free! What more could I ask for? My preference was to disable the image preview and simply paste into graphics editor. Solves my prt sc button problem. Had a compatibility with my Windows 7 32-bit OS at first, so settings changed to use the program as if Windows XP Service Pack 2 settings for the specific program as suggested by the OS when right click solve compatibility, made it work. Works great for free!
