Easy to use and fully functional. Can bookmark and highlight PDFs that Adobe Reader won't. None found yet. Easy to use. Fully featured. Free.

light, fast, no-brain operation. For a reader, as good as they get. Almost 2 years using it. New computer, can't think of any negative features. Foxit does it for us. Hello? It's free, if all those other reasons weren't enough to make you pay ten bucks. This review forces you to answer? Oy. Thank you for FoxIt.

Launches quickly; good tools for highlighting and noting. Not sure if this software or Firefox is the cause of it, but sometimes a web link to a pdf file is not recognized as a pdf.

This works better than Adobe.Without all the head aches. HA! Whats not to like?? I download and have to fill PDF forms. This is an excellent program for doing just that. And I'm sure there is a whole lot more FoxIt can do? Someday I'll snoop it out.

Small package size; fast performance; has opened every PDF I have ever attempted with it. Even though I had unchecked the "install Foxit Toolbar" options during the installation, the toolbar installed anyway. I had to uninstall it myself afterward, That sort of behavior is intolerable. I've always been a fan of Foxit Reader, and have used it for a long time, even though Foxit seems to have shared most of the security vulnerabilities of Adobe Reader. Nevertheless, Foxit Reader has always been small in size, and very fast in performance. The last several years, Foxit has been bundling the Foxit Toolbar (Ask), with a way for the user to opt out of the toolbar installation by unchecking a couple of boxes. During the installation of the latest version, I unchecked the boxes as usual, but somehow ended up with the toolbar installed anyway. I find that sort of behavior intolerable. While I understand that a company distributing its software freely might desire to offset its costs through toolbars or advertising, if the customer opts out of those things, then that should be it. Either the installation should end there, or the installation should continue without the toolbar.Disappointed at Foxit Reader's recent behavior, I re-examined other PDF readers, and found one that surpasses Foxit Reader in quality, power, and features. It's a little larger installation, but still less than half the size of Adobe Reader.

All you Foxit sycophants are in serious need to re-education. Foxit continues to use deceptive practices to trick the user into installing the ask toolbar. The very fact Foxit bundles known adware/spyware with their program means Foxit is NOT freeware but Adware. There are too many high quality PDF readers for absolutely free without any deceptive installs. Example: Nitro PDF and the unbelievably full featured PDF-XChange Viewer available as .exe and .msi installers and also portable version. http://www.docu-track.com/downloads/users/

I really like this program but it still puts the Ask toolbar into my machine even when I clear the boxes. So I finally give it a four even though the program itself is great.

The moment you are presented with the FAKE "Should I install ASK crap" window, the spyware is already running on your system. This spyware runs on a "per-gamble" basis, meaning it will not always install the spyware, so that people would say to others, "Hey, get this one from this site, it's spyware free", while in reality it isn't. Get SumatraPDF if reading PDF is all that you need, it's lightning fast and doesn't even require installation. FoxItReader is now on the HpHosts BLACKLIST for continuous spreading of spyware.

I've had no problems with this when I need to read a PDF files. Sometimes a popup will ask me if I want to use the alternative Foxit. Uses less space on computer than Adobe. Just once it wouldnt read a PDF file, I forgot what that was though. Must not have been important. I would recommend this program. Updated on Aug 16, 2010

Uses lower resources than the Adobe reader Have to jump through hoops to prevent it installing the unwanted add ons. Good software but you have to make sure that you read every dialogue box, if you don't you will end up with the ask toolbar and it will change your default home page and search engine.

very easy to use, but the ask toolbar is a bit of a pain the ask toolbar

I have use it for quite a while with good results. Since installing Windows 7 and/or Firefox, it frequently locks up Firefox to the extent that I have to shut it down and reopen it, losing all open tabs. It does NOT play with either Windows 7 or Firefox. I absolutely would NOT recomment it to anyone using either of those two programs.

Very good alternative to Adobe Until it stops the bad practice of fooling users into loading the Ask Toolbar etc. - I'll choose another pdf reader. We are all used to 'unchecking' the boxes to prevent extras being loaded but Foxit are now asking us to 'Agree to ****" and some people expect this to be agreeing to the use rules of the program... it's not. As you uncheck one part, another one pops up and it is so difficult for many users to avoid installing unwanted trash. Not ethical at all...!

Fast, easy; what more can I say? Don't know it is Foxit or me, but printing the pdf takes a lot of time Good program

It lacks a working plug-in for Firefox. You can download a PDF and then open it. Deal Breaker! I even tried the "Phantom" suite and had the same problem. Adobe opens PDF's in Firefox for my viewing pleasure and then, if I choose, download the file.
