I like the safety There are some programs that do not work with it I would rather use this program because it is more secure

A lot of features are available with the free version. The ones I used most were bookmarking and marking. It runs fairly fast, and the tabbed interface is much neater than multiple instances of acrobot reader. Marking on the document makes a "edited by foxit" message appear on the marked page when using the free version. A great piece of software and I would definitely recommend switching from acrobat to foxit.

As a standalone reader or using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Foxit Reader is a good alternative for those who find Adobe Reader to be bloated or a system hog. It's frustrating to use with Firefox because you often can't tell if a link will take you to a PDF and if it does Foxit will cause your system to hang. I often have to open task manager and kill Foxit, sometimes I have to restart Firefox too. Great product if you don't use Mozilla Firefox as your browser.

Takes up less memory than adobe. Doesn't take as long to get a full version of a pdf file. None that I've seen so far.

Can view multiple pdfs using tabbed interfaceFast, doesn't linger in system memory after exiting GUI is kinda plain and boring, but that's not important I like that the program opens quickly, and when it exits, it doesn't leave any processes running in the background that hog system resources. I really like that I can view multiple pdf files in one window and just flip between tabs when I'm reading and working.

Works a treat and does not hog memory. Leaves a watermark when filling PDF forms. Should follow the lead of Nitro for true freeware as a PDF markup tool. One line advertisement can be tolerated if watermark free tools is offered.

Nice interfaceSomewhat quickBetter than Adobe for sure Not quick enoughMade me use admin priv. to open it If you want an upgrade over Adobe, this is great. My only gripes were that it was somewhat slow (not bad though) and required me to use admin privileges to open it. Not sure if that had something to do with how I installed it (I reinstalled and didn't see anything out of whack) but that's annoying to say the least.Other than that, it does have some nice tools and is otherwise a great reader. My personal choice now is Sumatra (also free, and on here I believe) which, though barebones, loads up quicker than any other reader I have seen and doesn't require admin privileges.Summing up, if you want pure speed, go with Sumatra. If you want decent speed and a lot of tools, go with Foxit.

- Used to be a good, fast program but... - Major bug in compatibility with Firefox.- Opening a pdf file in firefox hangs firefox indefinitely.- Has not yet been fixed despite the severity of this bug. Two stars for very slow bug fixing in what used to be a good program.Been waiting at least 8 months & updating/checking the related threads on the Foxit forum.

It's small, light yet powerful enough. Interface is a little clunky, but that's okay. It's small, light yet powerful enough. sounds like I was talking about a degree commercial.

Documents open instantly, and it doesn't waste your time while it loooks for and loads interminable updates. No complaints yet. I used to use Adobe Reader. I found it slow to open, constantly being updated, and tools difficult to use. Foxit is superior on all fronts.

Easy to use pdf editing facilities are not easily avialable

Small and quick, without all the mostly useless plugins that bloat Adobe reader. Poor Firefox integration. 4 of the 5 machines instantly developed file association problems resulting in crashes when trying to browse to a PDF. Had to uninstall Firefox eventually and reinstall.

It works just like Adobe, but takes up a lot less system resources. It's a must for PDF reading. None so far. Uninstall Adobe and Get FoxIt.

Small file, not big and bloated like Adobe Reader.Low on system resources.Displays PDF's in Firefox with no problems - don't know what happened to the other people saying it has an issue with Firefox.Fast to open PDF's. None experienced.

Fairly easy to use I have no regrets

Well set up or layout. Easy to use, simple reader nothing more. Safe and secure to use. Some programs like foxfire doesn't work well with. Seems to be in no hurry to fix the problems with the program. I prefer a different reader now like re-direct I have a old old version of adobe arabat (6) it works better. Don't waste your time until the bugs are fixed.
