Foxit allows me to "stamp" the current paid status on top of the invoice and send it back to my billing department. I also prefer the smaller size of Foxit to that of Adobe Reader I haven't found anything I don't like A great product with many features I use on a daily basis. It's smaller footprint to that of the Adobe Reader along with features it has that Reader does not make this a winner.

Great pdf reader I installed Foxit, and chose to opt-out for the Ask.com extra's but stil got a Ask toolbar in IE and Firefox and a new homepage. I opted-out for the Ask.toolbar but Foxit installed this crap all the same. Even in my programma files ther is a ask.com updatetask.exe. Can't believe Cnet offers this on their website.I uninstalled all this crap and Foxit. Never again!!!! I installed Acrobat Reader and I'm fine with that.

Smaller than Adobe Reader. If you ever want to uninstall Foxit Reader, beware. Foxit forum is filled with demands for uninstall information. Fortunately I found Revo Uninstaller and was able to get rid of it. Also Reader takes over WinXP and changes Adobe file associations. I should have been more suspicious of any product choosing a name somewhat similar to well established Firefox browser. Foxit Reader comes in two versions: free and buy. I tried the free version and concluded (for my purposes) it doesn't do anything Adobe doesn't do well. So I decided to uninstall Foxit Reader. The uninstall function doesn't work. I visited the Foxit Reader forum and found many inquires for uninstall directions. The moderator suggested sending an email to Foxit and they would send back an uninstall program. The reply had no program and wanted to know what my problem was. Fortunately I found Revo uninstaller and was able to clear my registry of Foxit. Then it was off to remove Foxit folders on my computer and finally to change hijacked file associations back to Adobe. Admittedly Adobe Reader 9.0 is large (284 MB) but I don't have a problem with that. If Adobe works well for you, I submit there is no need to switch to Foxit Reader. In addition the nasty toolbar option is ignored by the Foxit program. If Adobe works OK for you, you definitely don't need Foxit Reader (free).

*The best, light weight PDF view/translator *Installs adware-toolbar, ebay icons, homepage in Firefox and IE. It's a great program. But you choose what to install. So people shouldn't be complaining when they weren't paying attention. Really. Over all, 5 stars for program, -1 for adware just being there, even though I was smart enough NOT to install it.

It loads quickly and is very easy to work with. That I didn't learn about Foxit sooner.

I don't really see whats bad about it. Its still tremendously faster and less bloated then Adobe & it opens and lets you read PDFs What do you want from it? It does what it was made to do.Still a fine program &anyone saying that it is worse then the original without giving any solid reasons are just talking trash. Do not click through the install w/o reading & you will be fine!![untick toolbar installation] A version w/o toolbar is availabe too

v3.3 New features: * Secure Trust Manager The new Secure Trust Manager enables users to allow or deny unauthorized actions and data transmission, including URL connection, attachments PDF actions, and JavaScript functions; efficiently avoiding the attack from malicious contents and viruses. * Improved Ask Search Button Setting Enables users to show or hide the Ask Search Button in the Preferences menu. * Many Bug Fixes Fixes some bugs from previous versions including an issue where Ask Toolbar may be installed by default.

Couldn't really assess. The horrors that follow overrides whatever good the apps has. Changed my homepage and installed the Ask toolbar without permission. Updated to the latest version and was horrified to find that after a few log-ins, the Ask toolbar was installed on my machine and my homepage changed to the Foxit homepage. These two options were unchecked during installation. Using Revo Uninstall did not uninstall the offensive toolbar. Replaced the app with another free software.

Less memory usage than Adobe Reader Can't copy text Good if you only want to read pdf files.

I like Foxit's slim footprint, lightening fast loading when compared to Adobe. And like Adobe it works with all 3 browsers I use. Can't think of any um, I am not a good candidate for essays, What I wrote in 'pros' will do just as well here Updated on May 5, 2010

I would NEVER go back to Adobe anything so Foxit is a necessity. Ask and other tricky installation pitfalls that you have to be alert to uncheck. Changes in Foxit toolbar, making Foxit reader pro hard to use after an upgrade (especially the typewriter, my only reason for paying for pro). I used to be a programmer so I think that the problem is their programmer mentality - they just don't get that a user (spelled customer!) isn't totalyl immersed in this product but rather wants a convenient tool to use when needed.
