Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. Its core function is compatible with PDF Standard 1.7.

Editing PDF files and marking up PDF docs. I get a funky error box that pops up everytime I go to open a PDF file that tells me that moziila is having a hard time dealing with foxit and I have to switch programs. I do nt know if it is FOxit or my browser that is having problems. Over all it is a good program and does what it says. I would be happier if I could figure out why it throws the error box and tells me that I have to switch programs but that is really minor because it does open the program and it does what it says it will do.

"it wont print properly!" The pages load up alot quicker than with adobe. It functions normally for the most part. When i try to print a document, the alignment is all wrong and often it prints diagonally and not in the middle of the page. It's for this reason that i will go back to Adobe, really a pity. This program is great for viewing large pdfs without lag, but the print function needs to be fixed!

Easily allows clear , fast access to my PDF game manuals when I need them , loads very fast Contains toolbar-ware , tries to sell you out in favor of extra features but I did not get tempted. I was not happy with the speed and performance of Adobe Acrobat Reader so I installed this. I noticed an 80 percent speedup in the loading of my PDF files I use all the time. It includes toolbars and value added icons, but you can opt out at the cost of a few less features. Still though, it installs faster then Adobe, and loads in a jiffy. This is a must have for a replacement for Adobes slug of a PDF reader.

"Alter-ego of Adobe Reader" It takes up less space on HD than Adobe and it operates faster Pay to edit, etc Overall I recommend over Adobe. It's fast efficient and gets the job done w/o taking up a lot of HD space.

"Adobe can consider itself well and truly spanked." Easy to use and understand, adobe got too big for their boots and in my opinion have been kicked into touch by foxit reader. There really is nothing I don't like about this product. It is about time that adobe had some serious competition, foxit reader has kicked a** and will remain a well used programme in my household. Well done all round.

"Still much, much better than Acrobat Reader" * Small footprint* loads instantly* pleasant, uncluttered interface* can annotate, comment, highlight and insert text* can navigate using either bookmarks or thumbnails * some functions that used to be free are now free, but at the cost of a watermark in the upper right corner of the pdf. The watermark goes away if you purchase the Pro version.* the highlight button and the insert text button have confusing icons. This is my go-to client for reading and managing PDFs. It's quick and full-featured. Head and sholders above the Acrobat product.

"Finally a new version.............................." Glad they updated it. previous version had a exploit that had been found since the end of January. With the advance of pdf exploits coming at a faster pace Foxit should start updating quicker like Adobe does. b/c this is the best non-adobe pdf reader out there. This version is faster than the previous version. And if you are running IE8 or IE7 it opens pdfs in another tab instead of another window. Love it!

It's getting bigger and bigger and soon will match Adobe's own PDF reader? No, thanks. I'm about to switch to STDU Viewer.

"It's fast!" I agree with the others that it's much faster then their other competitor. A nice alternative. I forgot it's also stinking free. Can't beat that! None other then I wished I knew about this sooner. LOL! It's worth the switch. No more adobe for me. Get Foxit. You won't regret it.
