Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. Its core function is compatible with PDF Standard 1.7.

Fast, Simple, Equals the Fat and troublesome Adobe reader for quality. Low system resource, no pestering necessary program and security updates (It's just a reader for heck's sake). ADOBE PDF is the the most overrated bloatware ever produced. Absolutely NONE. Adobe = 100+ MB. Foxit = less than 10MB. Quality and speed about equal. Foxit useds about 1/3 system resources than Adobe. I still scratch my head and ask "Why do we need such a stupid, huge, complex, resource hungry, annoying piece of gargabe such as PDF just to read something?" There are better, easier to use programs that do all that PDF does with half the effort.

"Not as Intrusive or bloated as Adobe Reader" Works as advertised, does it's job and nothing more. Exactly what I want. The only con I have is that I had a bit of trouble tracking down "search". Turned out it was hiding in plain site. Too easy. If you are just looking for a PDF reader, and don't like all the bloat and garbage that comes with Adobe Reader this is it. A little piece of heaven.

"Bye bye Adobe and good riddance." Simple, fast and 9MB as opposed to around 150. Nothing... Why didn't I do it sooner? It took an AR malfunction to remind me...(I replaced AR on a slow old computer with PDF XChange). I also use a nice little freeware prog called PDF creator - highly recommended.

"Works For Me" Lightweight but still has plenty of options, attractive interface, good user's manual available at website. I don't usually say this but none. I have Vista Home Basic. This software installed easily and runs without a hitch. I'm glad to be rid of Adobe. I never knew what 90% of its crap was for anyway.

Looks fine I came to this programme through following a download search suggestion "PDF to doc convertor". But the programme does no such thing. Fine as a reader, but you can already export to text from Adobe. It offers an additional download that wants to install a toolbar, change your search engine and link you with Ebay. Worst of all, the extra download was clumsy and trial only, with a watermark for the trial version.

"Works fine but printing way too slow" Install easy, works quickly Print spooling is way slow. A 30-page PDF file takes 60 seconds or longer to spool. I guess I will go back to Adobe Reader - the latest versions spool fast. Can't use Foxit. I print 20 or 30 page documents fairly often - Foxit too slow.

"Its great!" It is so light compared to the bloat of adobe acrobat - it is fast, and they don't bug you everyday to upgrade something that isn't broken in the first place. I can't think of any negatives about FoxIt Ditch Adobe's intrusive slug - try Foxit and see.

"Just The Best" It beats Adobe's slow and bulky software any day. And it doesn't constantly bug you to buy anything. I haven't found any so far. I use it mainly to read PDF files. Foxit is small and not intrusive. If I needed more features, I would consider buying the Pro version.

"It works as well as WinZip." I don't use it often and only to open a pdf file. There's nothing!

"Very bad - Comes with Toolbar - And you cannot decide" no Pros in this software as install begins with information about installing toolbar Nobody needs a Spyware Toolbar within any application. Bad software with Toolbar

Renders .pdf files well. Seems lightweight, also has less security holes. The controls are different than Adobe Reader, but I'm getting used to it. Foxit Reader does a good job of rendering .pdf documents. I still make sure that javascript is turned off as I did with Adobe Reader, but it seems to be a lot lighter weight and isn't always looking for updates. Due to the lighter weight, I gather that there are less possible security holes than in Adobe Reader, which seems to be one big security risk. However, this is my intuition speaking, based on past experience and lack of MS security bulletins and critical security updates for it. So I'm pretty happy with it.
