This dictionary is very user friendly and finds most words that you might throw at it. I like the fact that you can also access a thesaurus easily enough when using this tool. I found no real down side to this program except that the Tray Dictionary I downloaded is easier to access and is also an excellent dictionary. All in all, I like dictionary.com. It is very user friendly, is an excellent reference source, and also allows access to a thesaurus. I use it quite a bit, but I do find that my Tray Dictionary is easier to access and just as good of a reference library. I haven't found the Tray Dictionary as versatile in that it does not provide access to a thesaurus but, as a dictionary I use my Tray dictionary more often.

Pros: Small; Gives dictionary meaning Cons: No installer; Can't minimise it (can close it to the system tray); Stupid tranparent clock on screen when program has no focus (but can turn it off); Translation to another language changes the whole UI to that language (can turn that off, why why default it to on?). Fraction slower than using Google's web site. For translation only, I see no benefit of using this. Other apps (ie Translate.NET) are a lot better. If you want a dictionary and very occasionary, translation then this may help.
