Quick, to-the-point, great user interface, suits me perfectly. Manual adjustments to pictures only - no AUTO adjust for quick fixes to problem photos. If I need to tweak a picture, some programs offer an AUTO adjust button which is usually an improvement (that can be undone). Other than that feature missing on FastStone's offering (although many adjustments can be made manually for a great variety of settings), I can't think of any negatives for this excellent program. An AUTO adjust would be the icing on the cake for me.

All my typical picture needs packed into one compact package. The interface could be improved. I wanted a simple, and light, software that could do simple things like convert between formats, (visually) crop / resize, etc. and do it quickly. FastStone fits the bill perfectly. The software probably does more things - at least the cluttered interface would suggest so - but I don't really use them.

Fast, reliable and just great for browsing picture files/camera cards. Even the basic editing tools will be perfectly adfequate for many photographers nothing that I have found. Considering it's free (though you really should mske sa donsation), it's a great package,Easy red eye removal, quick zoom, handy 'side by side' comparison.

Most of my photo editing is very much on the simple side, resizing, cropping, etc. This program matchs my desires very nicely. It also has a setting for two monitors that I use all the time. There are some editing features that I think are lacking, or I haven't found them as yet. For example, when working with a wallpaper sometimes I like to have a border around the picture. What I want is to resize the canvas but not the picture.

Incredibly fast image review - fastest around Dual monitor support Batch processing Price! One-button deletes if desired Support many image file formats, including RAW versions from Canon and Nikon No image metadata updates (delete metadata only) Thumbnail size range limited No image star ratings (1-5) - image 'flag' on or off only This program is lightning fast! I'm a photographer who relies on good workflow software to get me through a set of photos quickly. I import and tag photos with Adobe's Lightroom, but after that, I use FastStone's Image Viewer for all quick review, picking favorite shots, minor editing, cropping, rotation, and more. If I need to pull up an image in Photoshop instead, I just highlight the image and hit the 'E' key and the image is loaded there. Image review in FastStone Image Viewer is multiple times faster than Lightroom. The program is free, but make sure you donate something to them - keep the development humming along!

Does almost everything needed for managing photos in a no nonsense way. Feature rich. Much more practical than flashier, better known offerings. The programme is genuinely user configurable & readily incorporates external photo editors, etc. Definitely not as "pretty" as many competitors. Needs a better tool for modifying photo date information along lines of EXIF Date Changer. Could certainly also use a better tool for photo straightening (Picassa has a much more clever approach) Incredible value - it is FREE for the moment. The creators could consider adding a bit more pizzazz to the main screen, improving a few tools (The UI is effective but looks dull and pedestrian) then SELLING this excellent product for actual money!!

Plays your selected music with slideshow (Irfanview would not). I also scan and crop for email and this software does that beautifully. None I can think of right ow. Faststone is a great picture viewer with a lot of extras. I was using Irfanview and I still will but this will be used a lot from now on.

It is very easy and opens up quite a huge possibility of options.. this is my main application for picture enhancement and manipulations. Well it is not exactly some high end graphic software but neither is everyone a graphic designer! A must have and very convenient graphic software for everyone...

Simple, easy, quick, accurate,, and free. An excellent program to do minimal edits on the fly. The interface is quirky...but again, easy and intuitive. I have made this my default viewer...it opens quickly and I can do what I need to do and move on. I have found none. It simply delivers.

Easy to use with a host of features usually only found on expensive software. Nothing yet

Intuitive to use. Does not try to take over your system. Good Viewer/organizer for pictures. Resize & auto-adjust of brightness/colors could be easier. Best program I have found since CompuPic by Photodex for handling/sorting my pictures. Unfortunately, CompuPic won't run under Windows7 and Photodex has dropped it from their repetoire. I'm not interested in slideshows or creating web sites, I just want to view and make simple modifications to my pictures.

I like being able to see almost any file extension with this Viewer. My hard drive had to be reinstalled recently. The 1st prograom I downloaded was this Viewer. Each update has improvements. It's an outstanding, user friendly program; and it's free. I can't think of any negative issues regarding this program. I've used this outstanding program for over a year. When I had to reinstall my hard drive recently, I discovered I needed this program from the very beginning. Being able to view the various graphic file extensions was of great assistance in helping me to install some of my newer graphics. For those who have lots of photographs, the viewer is an outstanding feature; and you're able to organize your files immediately without any hassles. It's so user friendly that it's not necessary to even use the help file. With its latest improvements, one is able to apply text to their photos or graphic files; as well as use layers in creating special effects to your pictures. This program can be used not only by the professional artists, but can also be used by anyone just starting out with downloading photos and/or graphic files, as well as applying enhancements to same. FastStone Image Viewer, with its enhancement features, is the best image viewer on the web; and it's free. It's an image viewer you'll never regret downloading. Enjoy! Sweet Caroline

Easy to use, fast, brilliant pictures, many features, slayt show with music. As in MS MediaCenter it should be possible defining a main folder with unlimited subfolders where we can make a slight show with a random order of all the subfolders. I am using this viewer for many years and I am really amazed what a free viewer can do. But no one listens or replies to me about my suggestion above, even though I have written to them several times. I think I make a good suggestion to improve their software...

This program is easy to use, has lots of features and editing options. I can't really think of any at the moment; I've been using this program for quite some time now and have not found a single thing wrong with it yet. If you want an easy to use program that does whatever you need, here it is.

The program shows small sized views of all pictures in the directory. It also allows full screen viewing on a second monitor. Renaming photo's is easy. It's fast. It has an enlarged view of the selected picture with all the smaller sized views, even when the selected picture is being full screen viewed on a second monitor. A waste of screen space. A great picture viewer!
