Nice freebie. But I would prefer more fabric and wall textures. :)

I just tried the online version and I can tell you that, as a former draftsman that this program is extremely easy to use. Just perfect for Mr. Anybody or even Mrs. Anybody wanting to create a plan of their living space or what ever without having to take a course in drafting! More fabrics and wall textures? Maybe but, hey, it's free and I suspect it's more than enough for most people. Edit= http://sweethome3d.sourc...e.net/importModels.html leads to all the models that can be used in the program but also has links to other websites that have models for it.

"Incomplete!" nice display, well organized, good concept No flooring! No carpet! Transitions not seamless! Rough operation. Worth every penny the free version costs.

"What's there is good. What's not is not good." Nice walls. No floors!! No rugs! No hardwood! No nuttin'!! Limited libraries. Things are always better when they're fully baked.

I absolutely love SH3D! I'd been using the oldest version (thinking I'd already downloaded the newest). Didn't realize it until viewing YouTube tutorial. WOW! This will provide me hours of total bliss. Discovered I'm unable to save my work. Bug, maybe? This allows me to learn on my own without going to a classroom. It's a slow process for me considering I have ZERO experience in design and really don't understand yet the meaning of terms you pros use. But I'm getting there by trial and error. Thank you for making it FREE.

I love it's ease of use. I have been able - with no design experience - to create an amazing home plan and landscape. Sweet Home 3D provides me with countless hours of joy, honestly! Sometimes there are bugs which prevent the virtual eye from giving the 3D view unless I constantly switch back and forth between aerial view and 3D view. Sweet Home 3D is my absolute FAVORITE software. I recommend it to anyone who loves designing floor plans and landscapes. And I know that with a little more knowledge, I can do even better. Trust me, I am investing much time in using and learning. I wish I could share at your website what amazing things I have done with Sweet Home 3D so that potential users could really see what's possible. Tell me HOW to do that and I certainly will.

Easy to use, free, spectacular results. I hope you don't need a house with multiple floors, cause it didn't found an option to that yet (even though you can make the second floor separately as a new house). It is easy to learn and use, free, made for regular users that do not know how to use a professional software as Auto Cad. It can work on other platforms to as Mac and Linux. You can make great things in it, also you can create your own 3D objects in another program (3DS Max, Cinema 4D) and import them in there. The rendering is awesome, and i am glad that people that want to make their own house can use such a great program. I just hope they will add option for second floor soon, that would be great.

"Helped novice do floor plan on first try" It was fairly easy to use and helped me to do the one thing I wanted to lay out the furniture in one room. I figured out how it worked mostly from trial and error. Very few instructions. But the program was reasonably intuitive and it didn't take me too long to figure it out.

"Super easy to use and accurate too." Easy to use point and click then drag and drop interface. Keyboard input system also allows millimetre accurate sizing and positioning where precision is important. Ready made models of most house or office furnishings. Truly can't find any yet. It does exactly what is says on the tin. I suppose if you are looking for a full blown CAD package, this isn't it. But then who claimed it would be? I am a civil engineer and work with building designs for a living. Being used to much more complex packages, I didn't expect much from this one. However, I was pleasantly surprized. It works straight out of the box. It is fast to use and bug free. <... read more >>

Great looking program... but... I refuse to put Java on my PC. Java is bug ridden, slow and a security risk. Sadly, many people think that just because it is platform independent that it is the bees knees, well it's not, and I wish developers would stop using it. No matter what they say, the best programs are written as native compiled ones.
