Badaboom 1.1.1

Badaboom takes a fundamentally different approach to video format conversion from other solutions. Instead of performing format conversion on the CPU, it harnesses massively parallel GPUs from NVIDIA. By using the power of the GPU, the time required for video conversion is reduced. As an added bonus, you can still use the CPU for normal everyday tasks such as email and internet browsing. Anyone can now painlessly convert video between formats including AVCHD, leaving more time to enjoy the video and eliminating the frustration of video conversion delays. Not only is the Badaboom® Media Converter fast and easy to use, it provides high quality output (up to 1080p!) to keep your videos looking crisp and clear.

Very Fast. Easy to use interface. Very few formats it outputs to. Doesn't rip protected DVD's. I wasted $30 on this not realizing I couldn't rip my DVD collection to play on my xbox because it won't do protected DVD's. I should have realized it wouldn't but I was stupid. So if you want to rip your DVD collection DVD Catalyst or another similar program even though much slower is best. If you have tons of DVD video that you have burned yourself that you want to watch on many different devices then this is the program for you, otherwise don't get it.

Super fast. Easy to use. Doesn't do protected DVDs like stoney said above, but if you have AnyDVD installed then it will without any extra steps, which is pretty nice. Doesn't use CPU, so computer is usable,. Basically can't argue with the speed! Would like a few more customizable features and maybe subtitles. Haven't found a transcoder this easy to use yet. So fast, makes it worth the upgrade. Have used it mostly for my DVD library as well as some TV shows to watch them on my PSP. Two hour movies are done in 7 minutes with my GTX 280. If there are more CUDA apps like this for the GPU, NVIDIA is going to dominate. Video quality is pretty amazing, which I didn't expect with how fast the conversion is. My system is still usable since the GPU is doing all the work. Best of all worlds. Definitely worth the 30 bucks.
