Free Audio Converter converts different audio file formats, including mp3, wav, m4a, aac, wma, ogg. Each format is provided with a corresponding profile kit and a preset editor in order to make a personalized preset. So you can create new presets, delete and edit the old ones (change the current parameters).

This seems to be little more than a product advertisement. After installing and running this app, I just can't recommend it at all. It's not even worth the time to download, but that's just my opinion. I would try Bonk Encoder or even dbPowerAmp before even giving this thing a glance.

it can convert pretty much anything i throw at it. fast and reliable none for now Simple, quick, reliable. thats all there is to it. been using it for at least a year now

I was turned on to cnet along time ago by a friend when I was shopping for a new laptop. And when I wanted an inexpensive way to download music I turned to cnet again and they provided me with a way to get utube videos and music into mp3 and ipod. Not really any down side. It wants to update alot. And It always asks me to load their toolbar every time it updates. The program is quick and easy. When combined with the sound editor (also found thru cnet) it makes a great combo for downloading and altering music.

looks like a professionally-developed software, it didn't crash. It took one look at my files (FLACs) and refused to open them with no more explanation than "The following files were not opened: ...." If it's an incompatible format, that's fine (although the description CLEARLY claimed compatibility with FLACs) I'd just appreciate being told WHY it didn't work.The files are OK, the fingerprints checked out, and they are playable. I tried several different sets of files. The problem is in this software.

was free and i have not been receiving any UPGRADE reminders, as of one weeks use. simple and worked first time but all converters seem as slow as doing a rip. have not tried other conversions but it has a good selection no malware or adverts apparent so no problems. Still on my computer after one week but would need longer to give a fair trial.
