DVD43 4.4.1

DVD43 by DVD43Free Screenshot DVD43 Screenshot

DVD43 is a free DVD decrypter that runs in the background and decrypts DVDs on the fly. It will decrypt (unlock) a movie DVD so that your copy program can read it. It is a pure decrypter, it does not alter the image of the original DVD and will not remove copy protection (other than CSS encryption) added to the DVD. If the DVD structure is non standard or the DVD contains bad sectors, your copy program needs to take care of that.

DVD Fab HD Decyrpter works great. I don't have a 64 bit system, but the 32 bit works great and both are actively developed.

I keep getting this error message: DVD43 "The driver is inactive or not installed properly. please reinstall DVD43 to enable dvd driver". I have uninstalled and reinstalled but keep getting the same error. I have Vista 32 bit and have used DVD 43 for years and just now having this problem. Any advice on how to fix it would be great!

when this system works, it is great! I am running windows XP and have never had this problem with DVD43 and 1Click until I updated to the latest version of DVD43 (4.4). I get a message with DVD43 that says "this video DVD doesn't match the region code of the DVD device and the device refuses to read encrypted data". Any help on this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks

So far I was able to burn older movies without problems. BUT some newer movies, it only allowed me to burn a very short portion. Like a couple seconds or so. Then it always ask me to insert writable disc.

Hey ECHIP: Are you using one of the following burning programs? 1Click DVD Copy, Nero Recode, Intervideo DVD Copy, Roxio DVD Copy, Pinnacle DVD Copy and others. I like 1Click DVD Copy the best, a little expensive but you do pay for convenience.

I just installed DVD43 but when I rebooted it is telling me the driver is inactive or not installed properly. I had it installed before and it worked great but now all of the sudden it stopped working. I am running Windows Vista. Please help me.

DVD43 is GREAT!!! I have used it to try to unlock the security protection on literally HUNDREDS of DVD's and I would say it has a success rate of over 95%. From the oldest to the newest DVD's, this software can handle almost anything that is thrown at it. And with the release of DVD43.4.4.1, I'm sure that it's success rate will only improve. Thanks for keeping it FREE!!! There should be more software that is this useful available to the common man without costing him an arm and a leg.

Cool, but It can't rip my protected DVD, Tried this DVD ripping software which can convert both protected DVD and unprotected DVD to various video formats. Recommend :)

Product works great! I would say it works on 95% of the DVD's.. I am wondering if it works as well on Blue ray disks.. i like the way they keep the software updated

I downloaded and installed the program. Unfortunately the instruction set is spotty. It also doesn't seem to work on the "errors" that many companies put on a DVD that prevent copying, but allow the DVD to be played.

Never had a problem in the 4 years of using DVD43 (with 1clickdvd) all products should be as reliable as this one. the name says it all

program is a nice but would like to see it work with a 64 bit platform that would make it even better.

Rated 50/50 by Doc_Avi38 at Aug 22, 2009

God when are they ever going to make a Vista 64 bit version? I am half tempted to wipe my Vista 64 OS back to XP Pro 32. Why because Vista Sucks period, let alone the 64 bit version. Yeah it looks nice, but has serious issues when it comes to wanting programs. I have a new HP laptop which I online game on. This laptop would be great if it was XP. It has more power then my old desktop, which was the maxed out 64bit single core AMD, on an Asus A7n8x Delux MB. I need DVD43 to unlock my drive for Divx to convert movies straight from my dvd rom. Gah this is a complete nightmare. Let alone to get my 1Click DVD Copy Pro to run. Please hurry up and fix this. Sincerely, Doc_Avi38

when will dvd43 go to the 64 system i just bought a new computer and want to burn some dvd's

Rated 10/50 by Sluggutch at Dec 2, 2009

I used DVD43 to copy my DVDs for years on a computer that ran Windows Xp, with very few problems. A year or so ago, it began to become outdated, making quite a few mistakes on both old and new movies.. I had to buy a new HP laptop that runs 32-bit Windows Vista. Although the current version of DVD43 says it will also work with this version of Windows Vista, it showed that it had been installed, with the little smiley faces working as described, but attempting to start the program was impossible. The green faces remained green, but nothing else happened. I attempted to install DVD43 on an old computer that also runs Windows Xp and got the same result--program installed, but it won't initialize. I tried several of the suggestions on this site--nothing. Any suggestions?

Does DVD43 work with Windows 7? Or will it in the near future?

Rated 10/50 by benitus at Dec 9, 2009

The latest DVD43 ver 4.60 is the worst upgrade of all previous versions because it couldn't decode any of the current movies that I purchased for backup. Even DVD Decrypter, which didn't work in the past, was able to decode current movies. Something must be terribly wrong with the new version, i.e. something must have been left out because it couldn't get past 8%. I hope the developers would seriously look into this problem before loyal supporters like me migrate to other software developers on the market. Thanks.
