DVD43 is a free DVD decrypter that runs in the background and decrypts DVDs on the fly. It will decrypt (unlock) a movie DVD so that your copy program can read it. It is a pure decrypter, it does not alter the image of the original DVD and will not remove copy protection (other than CSS encryption) added to the DVD. If the DVD structure is non standard or the DVD contains bad sectors, your copy program needs to take care of that.

I've found DVD43 very effective in all of its incarnations. One question though. Will dvd 43 unlock dvd regional codes? I'm presently constrained by a dvd copier which rejects all but region 4 dvds.

I'm trying to get 4.3.1 working on Vista Home Premium (SP1). So far no lockups. I did learn that it needs to be installed in Administrator mode. But so far I can't get the yellow smiley to turn green no matter what DVD I put in. I will be trying to use I Copy DVDs 2, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

I have been using DVD43 (Most Recent version/update)and it works flawlessly. The problem with most people and computers is. 1. System requirement. When you are trying to run multiple programs at the same time, you'll have a crash. I believe the reason people are having problems with DVD43 and Vista is because Vista is a heavy memory user and trying to run several programs will cause a lock or crash. Bottom line there are many things that can cause software problems but people are quick to make premature conclusions. But I have never had a problem with this program. I have been using it all this time with Vista and never crash. So yes it works!

I have used this program for a few years with intervideo dvd copy express. it works good, but i have run into a few movies that it will not work with. if the movie in your dvd drive shows the drive letter way off to the right of the title, it will not be recognized in the drive and will not work. the following movies will not copy for example. THE GREAT RAID (D:) UNITED 93 (D:) does anyone know a way around this?????? midway05@juno.com

DVD43 is such a fantastic effective program, I can't praise it enough. I was directed to it by ArchosFan forum & it has been the best. With my new Archos 605 WiFi having 160GB to load up with all the C*ap I can stick onto it, naturally I have to copy all my DVDs & home movies to it. With DVD43 it is so easy. I love to see the little smiley face turn Green. It runs in the background & automatically goes to work as soon as I pop a disk into the drive. Really idiot proof. I just discovered I can copy my VOB from my DVD directly to my Archos w/o even converting them - which takes hours for just 1. But now I can just drag & drop the VOBs onto my Archos & I've got my favorite movies on the fly. I just LOVE it. I'm now trying to figure out how to make Donation to the maker of this freeware program because it's just so cool & useful.

Hi, I have been using DVD43 for many years with great success. First with X Copy and since 2005 with 1 Click. I have a new PC and bought the PRO Version for it only to find out DVD43 is not compatable with 64 bit. My question is will you be upgrading to allow 64bit usage, and when? Thanks to you all for your good work. Lloyd = cowboy

DVD43 use to work perfectly on my old 32bit computer but doesn't work on my new 64bit computer. When are you going to make a 64bit compatible program?

DVD43 is the only software that can work with a minimum of fuss and challenges. However, the movie producers are also coming up with new tricks that wll prevent access to their movies, so I'm glad that DVD43 does keep up with such innovations, or else we will be wasting our time trying to make it work. But I feel that they aren't working fast enough to keep up with these innovations. For example, College Road Trip was inaccessible but with the update of April 2008, I was able to access it but it froze at 18% and couldn't go any further, despite re-starting my system several times. So, I would appreciate it if the DVD43 can look into this movie and figure out what is the bug that is keeping us out of the movie (before other producers get wise and use the same bug to lock us out). Thanks a million and keep up the good work.

I have been using DVD43, I didn't have any problems until about three weeks ago. When are we going to get new updates. I seem to be having the same problems as everyone else. I have always had 1click DVD copy pro.

Great program when it is working! I usually have no problems but am currently unable to copy The Bank Job? Get to 98% and then tells me the disc is corrupt. I have tried more than one disc and the same thing happens. Not only that but then my computer freezes and I have to hard boot the system. All software and drivers are up to date so that is not the problem. Can't seem to get anyone to address or acknowledge the problem. Don't have a problem with there being a problem only the not admitting to or correcting the problem is the problem. ^%%$@*

i dont know what everyone is saying but lately i've had no problem with this software and think its very helpful. i've gotten movies like bank job and college road trip with no problem, so maybe its your copying program that needs to be updated!

I've downloaded 43 installed great but the first dvd I tried (Bourne) failed... however, as a sw developer --- no complaining --- the reviews say 43 works well --- I will try other dvds, please just send out some notices when you have a chance to look at problems -- your work is appreciated.

DVD43 runs okay with win xp sp3 and Nero 7 Ultra using a Memorex DVD+-R 510Lv1 16x drive. Tips: 1) With Nero 7 Ultra & DVD 43, I found the best way to clone or copy the encrypted DVD is to use the image writer to copy entire DVD to a hard drive folder. 2) To avoid Errors when writing to a DVD or CD, before opening Nero or inserting bland media, first right click the DVD43 tray icon and 'Exit'. 3) I've created both a complete DVD on a DL 8.5GB disk and a main movie (no menus) on a standard 2 hour disk. A nit: when I installed DVD43, the installer puts a shortcut on my desktop even though I told it NOT to do that during intall dialog.

This program has worked nearly flawlessly with 1ClickDVDtoIPod as I save my favorite DVDs to use on my Zune. The only problem I've run into was with "The Last Samurai" which it will not decode. Otherwise, I have been very happy with the results. With at least some type of backup I'm a little more comfortable loaning out my originals for friends to watch.
