DVD43 4.4.1

DVD43 by DVD43Free Screenshot DVD43 Screenshot

DVD43 is a free DVD decrypter that runs in the background and decrypts DVDs on the fly. It will decrypt (unlock) a movie DVD so that your copy program can read it. It is a pure decrypter, it does not alter the image of the original DVD and will not remove copy protection (other than CSS encryption) added to the DVD. If the DVD structure is non standard or the DVD contains bad sectors, your copy program needs to take care of that.

The message about the "cannot read filr due to encription" means that, A. you need to restart DVD43 because it was disconnected. (Do you have an external dvd burner? If so plug your USB back into the port and restart the computer) or B. The disc you are trying to burn is too scratched or damaged and it cannot read the files located on it.

I've used DVD 43 for years with great luck. Just updated my computer that uses Vista. Originally DVD 43 was ok. With latest update on 1 Click DVD Copy Pro I am now getting error message on DVD 43 "cannot connect. "DVD 43 driver must be installed, update and active." I'vd downloaded 4.0.0 version installed and reinstalled several times. I've notice 2 other report of same error but unable to find a fix. Can anyone help?

I have used DVD43 for several years now. It will not decypher dvd's distributed by Sony, Disney and sometimes Lionsgate, and Paramont. This may be the reason for some of your problems. I have found that DVD43 works for about 80% of the dvd's released. An alternative to DVD43 and DVDshrink is Magic DVD Copier / Ripper. Magic DVD works on 100% of all dvd's and is updated atleast once a month. Also DVD Shrink is the best software to use with DVD43 for backing up your DVD'S

Hey. I never had a problem with DVD43 (version 4.0.0) until I got the latest version of 1ClickDVDCopy and suddenly all went wrong. Now I am unable to make backup of any of my DVDs. I get from "Unable to connect. You must reinstall driver", to "There is a problem with the region code" and "Unable to copy due to an error in the system". I thought I was the only one, until I called a friend and he said "Dude, I follow your advice with 1Click and now I cannot back up anything unless it has already been burned before". Any suggestions? Should I get the newest version of 1Click? (almost 60 bucks!!!) Cheers,

Same issue here. Have been using 1ClickDVD and DVD43 for about 2 years or more. The combination always worked flawlessly, until I recently update to latest 1Click version and latest DVD43. Now I get Read Errors during 1ClickDVD copy process, and DVD's that copy without errors just spin at "Loading" in my DVD player. DVD player is new. I restored older 1Click and 4.0 of DVD43, but combination is still unstable. I shutdown DVD43, uninstalled, and then re-installed, so I suspect I'm clear of newer version.

Works like a charm. Decrypted every DVD I threw at it. You need to make sure your copy software takes care of the structural problems on newer DVDs, DVD43 doesn't do that, it just decrypts. I use 1CLICK DVD COPY, it's the best and it works great with DVD43.

Wheres Metshrine??

DVD43 seems to be a little misunderstood. It won't help you avoid bad sectors or fix up problems on new DVDs, but it does decrypt 100% of the DVDs I've tested. You need to have a decent copy program to handle the bad sectors and messed up crap they stick on some of these newer DVDs. I use 1CLICK DVD COPY with DVD43, and it's always worked well for me. Plus, they update their software each time new DVDs are released which cause new problems. So, if you can't get DVD43 to work with your DVD copy software, consider changing copy programs. The latest version DVD43 4.3.1 is the best version yet. I agree some older versions could not handle the newer movies, but 4.3.1 is right up to date and decrypts perfectly.

i have been using a combination of one clic and nero recode with dvd43..never had problems till recent improvements to dvd security...since the newer versions of dvd43 has come out,i find i need to switch between versions to decrypt...save the last 3 versions to hard disc, takes about 2 mins to uninstall and reinstall...faultless copies,dvd43 outshines other apps

I'm running Vista Home Premium on a Gateway GM5632E. dvd43 simply locks up my computer to the point that I have to do a hard shutdown. I had to uninstall if from safe mode. Wish it worked, but it didn't.04/25/08.

Can anyone shed some light and verify if DVD43 is compatible with Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit before I install it? I had been using it on Windows XP and it worked without any problems.I would appreciate any help/comments! AD

note for HORTES Google for DVD43 - first site I saw included data and various download sites (incl the author's) AND gave links to download previous versions. I've used DVD43 (older version) on XP - excellent! Just changed to Vista, a bit concerned about reviews seen here so will wait a while for positive feedback before using ... have enough problems without inportng more!

I have used this program for a couple of years now and it works great, decrypting 100% of dvd movies. Unfortunately, if you are running Windows VISTA you are probably going to run into problems. I ran into the same issue as another poster here did. When trying to use DVD43 with vista, my system locks up and has to be hard booted. This seems to only happen when using the newest version of DVD43. Does anyone have the previous version I can get?
