XNote Stopwatch 1.63

XNote Stopwatch by dnSoft Research Group Screenshot XNote Stopwatch Screenshot

XNote Stopwatch is a tiny desktop stopwatch utility to measure time periods in decimal seconds, seconds, minutes, and hours. It has a digital display like real stopwatches and clocks. Also, it can be resized to achieve your preferable size of digits and even be switched to a compact state, in which it doesn't show controls and stays on top of your desktop.

"Great application, just what we needed" After integration it looks like a part of the main application I developed for in-house use and was able to be integrated in a way that people with no PC skills are able to use easily. Support by the developer is outstanding. None. The ability to customise the border in compact mode would be great but no big deal. No negatives of any significance, a minor problem with the application related to calling it from batch files was fixed by the developer within a couple of hours of me e-mailing him. Excellent support.

24 bucks for a stopwatch? LOL.

"Fantastic program - Simple to use and fully featured" Customizable display, functionality as a timer AND a stopwatch, ability to save timer profiles, fast & straight-forward support. What can I say, it's a great little program!

Simple, robust, rock solid. Used daily for a week and never failed. Counts down THEN counts up while flashing. Full featured (visual and audio). Used special edition with internal warnings -- key feature. Nearly perfect. It earns 9.9 out of 10!! No real cons! Would like to see special internal warning feature integrated into the main program - will supercharge an already outstanding timer. Suggest adding ability to change background and text color "on the fly" with the internal warning. I used a special freeware version every day for a solid week before buying a license. Performed flawlessly. Though i was finished with my project, i felt that such a quality product should be financially supported so I bought a license for future use. This timer worked reliably, was easy to modify as needed, and helped us execute the meeting on schedule. My functional requirements (must have) were (1) countdown and then count up at the end of the countdown time.(2) internal programmable warning. (3) audio warning and end-of-time tone (4) adjustable size to fill screen of laptop. (5) visual warning at end of time (6) at easy to use. A couple of desirable traits were (1) ability to change the background and font color on the fly in sequence with the internal warnings. (2) ability to save configurations easily w/o having to write an executable batch code. I found a specially modified program that Dimitry had posted on the web that gave me all six of my "must haves". This program is terrific! The ability to play my own wav files is an added feature.

"Works just great on Win7 32bit." Gives a lot of customize options. Does the job just great. Why the price tag of USD 24? Price it around USD 10-15 and more would probably pay.

It works. (ten characters blah blah blah) WAY too expensive I paid that much for most of my video games, why am I gonna pay that much for some stupid stopwatch app? The ONLY thing you're actually paying for is the convenience of finding something for free that does everything the paid version of this does. I'm glad my time is still considered this valuable by someone.

"One of the Best on the Market: Very Customizable" Very customizable interface features (countdown, clock, colors, compact mode, transparency, etc.). In addition, multiple instances can be used as each can be customized with its own configuration file (session configuration available as well). I was looking for a configurable feature of indicating an alarm at specified repeatable intervals in addition to a countdown alarm, which the current version (1.6 as of this writing) lacks - hope this feature makes the wishlist. Worth the cost - author is very responsive to requested wishlist items as well.

"Perfect for my application for timing sports events." The evalution of the program is spectacular. The ability to directly enter times into an excel WS is HUGE for my application. I absolutely love this watch and will use it indefinitely. The only new feature that I would like is the remote ability to reset the watch. A third button along with stop/start and snap would do the trick.

Small download, easy to use, reliable, free, customizable color/font/size etc Haven't been able to get the "snap" function to work to record more than one time at a time. I work at home for an internet research firm, and I need to time how long each task takes me in order to get paid. Some can take several minutes, but most take less than two, and I need to record if it was 1 min, 1.5, 1.75, etc. I started using XNote in the AT&T call center to time my breaks so I wouldn't get in trouble, and all of us that used it did so for free for years; the little "pay to get more features" screen isn't that annoying and as fast as the timer loads, it's no trouble to click off. I use the "Transparency" (at 50%) and "Keep on Top" features together so I can work more efficiently, recording each time in a spreadsheet in my free Google Docs (available w/your Gmail) so I can just click "Sum" to add them all up. I also changed the XNote colors to pink & purple 'cause I like it all girly. ;) I love this so much I actually paid for it recently just to say "Hey, thanks for creating this for me"!

"Fits my needs very well!" I will use it for timing on national rowing regattas in Norway, where we use Excel to register all data. The Excel integration, with hot-keys and external start/stop offered in version 1.6 makes this quite simple. The Excel intergration. The price is just fantastic, compared to bing "professional" timers. My only request is that while using multiple watches in a session, I would like to save these whith their setups, and retrieve them for a later session.Ie. Name them Watch 1, Watch 2, Watch 3 etc

"It does what I wanted it to do." It does what I wanted it to do. It took me some time to incorporate the sounds. It does what I wanted it to do.

Big resizable window has countdown or count up in multiple fonts. Exports splits to Excel for the who need that... Used it for a group speaking engagement. Start button too small. Some people from my speaking group got mixed up with the little "Reset" button. I know, monkeys are smarter.

It's very functional and flexible, and what's more, when I had a problem with compatibility to an older version, I got an amazingly quick and efficient support. I can't see none.

Awesome product guys! I will be using this next weekend to place on a script for the comedian Dane Cook while he performs. The producer sent me a link for "Timeleft" which is what they use. I downloaded it and thought it sucked. Would like to customize the background/boarder more. Love it, perfect for what I'm doing.

I use it to keep track of how long each task takes in a project. I use Excel and have the time for each line item updated by using the SNAP feature. Once SNAP button is pressed, the time taken to accomplish the task is updated in the cell I chose. none I have noticed. Very intuitive and excellent for project management.

Everything you can expect from a desktop timer, very complete functionality not really I work in a Call Center in The Netherlands and use xnotestopwatch to take my eyes from the monitor and stand up and do a 30 sec fitness stretch, every 10 minutes, to prevent fatigue during work.

User friendly at low cost Should implement: - Autosave at user defined intervals - External control through USB (who has a laptop with serial or parallel port?)
