Comodo Internet Security is designed to be the that integrates Comodo Antivirus, Comodo Firewall and Comodo Defense+ in a seamless manner. We have also fixed many bugs in Comodo Firewall with this release. Comodo Firewall or Comodo Antivirus can be installed as standalone products by using the same setup.

"good suite for intermediate users with decent systems" free, attractive and easy to navigate interface, network and application layer traffic control, control over system changes, stateful scanning, popups give graphs of blocks and allows by others making the program easier to use for novices The only real con is it does take some system resources, although less than most suites out there. Some systems may be better off with Vista firewall and an antivirus alone when behind a NAT router. This does require some amount of know how to use as I would not recommend relying completely on the popup graphs... sometimes there are things that a large number of people blocked that are absolutely harmless.

"Best security suite" Fast definition updates. All in one. Strong protection. Easy disable and enable functions. easy but configurable UI and settings. EVERYTHING is pretty much perfect. Shows you community ratings. It tells you want other user choose for an answers. I wished it could tell me more information about the virus that it detects. It even shortens the URL of the destination of the virus. Ya please fix the Virus pop ups (The firewall popups are nice) This is the software for newbes and Pros. Give it a try! you will like it.

"THE BEST FIREWALL I'VE EVER USED" I was digging around for firewall reviews on a few web sites and this popped up with glowing reviews so I decided to try it out. I've been using it for a year now and couldn't be happier. It can be hard to adjust to your needs if you neglect to read the read the help files or visit the support forum. It's very useful if your newbie like me. but it's easy to master. Visit the support forum for this if you get confused they have INCREDIBLY useful tutorials and tips on how to use this. This is by far my favorite firewall.

I dislike the fact that Comodo AntiVirus is only available now as part of this bundle, but it's easy to deselect the Firewall during setup, and the Firewall isn't bad if you don't already have something else you prefer. There is very little nagging about upgrading to their Pro edition, and Comodo's Hopsurf Toolbar (replacing the Ask toolbar which they previously included) is still easily deselected with no further nagging. Comodo recently added their own secure DNS but I prefer OpenDNS. For now at least, Comodo's DNS isn't selected by default so it's just an extra click on Next. Comodo's default mode (Clean PC) is a tad bit more "in your face" with overly cautious prompts than I would like, but it's comparable to what you'd expect to see with consumer editions of McAfee, Norton, etc. Performance has been fairly good in recent releases, but one weak area is DOS apps. If you've got a lot of legacy real-mode DOS executables, Comodo AV tends not to like it. It's OK to have text-based console mode Win32 apps (which basically look like DOS programs but don't require real-mode) but true DOS stuff makes Comodo freak out in ways that I can't seem to suppress or bypass. This release fixes a fairly stupid bug which caused Comodo AV to interfere with Windows Updates.

"Good Firewall but the AV is not!" I think this is the best firewall even though its free. Better then Zone Alarm and the other free firewall. The AV is not very good. I recommend to install only the firewall. For AV use AVG better! CIS is easy to use and very fast to open the program. It can detect all activity. You can block or allow the application.

"Fantastic Firewall." For a basic firewall, Comodo has done a great job for me during the last several years. If you are looking for great, free firewall protection, go with Comodo. I believe it should update more often. Updates are a rare thing--eventually, they just release a new version. If you can live without regular updates, then Comodo would be a great choice for you. I highly recommend it!

"Great little package" Settings are easy to use and logical, and most aspects are where you would expect doesnt interact with zonealarm forcefield or extreme, however the BIGGEST issue is that it does not include an email scanner, replying upon real time scans & activescan. It is crying out for this which would make it better than competitors. A basic and essential antivirus facet missing (refer cons), but otherwise very good.

"Firewall good, but don't like antivirus" Good firewall and lots of prevention.Doesn't slow things down too much Too many popups, gets really annoying.Basically gives u a popup for everything even after training mode,so any viruses will only get thru if u let it

"Terrible software, only tries to find MacAfee." Absolutely none, would not install correctly on Windows XP Profesional. After installing it initially the program tried to install MacAfee antivirus from my CD-Rom drive. The pop-up was continuously attempting this. After uninstalling the software, I was prompted to restart my computer, then it would no startup! Watch what you get when you download software, programs like this could completely ruin your machine.

when added with defense plus it makes comodo easily, the best firewall free or paid. light on resources and powerful as hell this is NOT for amateurs, if you are looking for a hands off program pass this one up, VERY hands on. sometimes updates can get fouled up. here's the thing, when you combine this firewall with defense plus pro active security it makes comodo without question the best firewall available. actually, the knock on it is that it is actually too powerful for the average user, i agree with this, comodo monitors all aspects of internet activity, ANYTHING even sneezes toward your pc is initially blocked, even the stuff it knows is safe. this is good news and bad news. the good news is it gives you total control of your pc the bad news is, allowing or blocking the wrong thing can totally mess oyu up. click allow falsely, you let in a trojan click block incorrectly and you may disable an essential program from running and may cause your pc to crash your best bet is to read carefully what it is is being blocked, most things are safe. ok, lets say you open up your media player, well comodo will probably block it initially sayiing, '' wmplayer.exe wants access etc etc. '' if you click block you will disable your media player , although things can be unblocked. another cool thing about defense plus is it can be used to easily and quickly clean up malware, lets say you have a spyware infection, go to defense plus, view active processes, locate the spyware program running, right click, select '' terminate and block '' done but the thing is, most users do not want a hands on app like this which is why many people get it, hate it and get rid of in place of something more hands offish so too speak. the bottom line on comodo is that nothing and i mean NOTHING gets installed on your computer without your approval, so if you get infected with it, it is on you, not comodo. i actually do not feel the need to use a regular full time anti spy app since i have it, after

"I like it, install it, use it," Ive been using comodo free firewall for years and I like it. I love the view active connections, it enable me to stop any program that is working background. I trust this product Nothing, I guaranteed Better than Zonealarm, ZA lack of detailed monitoring process/connection

NONE! It will ruin your machine! Does not have an uninstaller, screws up root kits, messes with windows firewall, blocks too many things out, can not connect to internet when installing other programs, and so much more! I had to look on so many forums to try to find a way to uninstall this pos, nothing. I kept looking for a whole day, hour after hour, I came upon one last try for a way to get rid of it easily and safely, and to my surprise it worked. If you want to get rid of it, and need help, let me know!

download it, install it, all went smoth; I am entirely happy how something like "free" can work this well. Just waiting to see the first attack! BTW Norton 360 had a miss 3x this year, cost me a HDD, and 3x reinstalling XP, 2x reinstalling Vista !!! nothing major for now, just left everything default, noticing a bit slower user initiation, but after all fine. After many years of Symantec/Norton products (payed $$ for years for 3 boxes) decided to kick out the MS windows, at my last HDD format I made a dual boot with ubuntu linux and today I don't remember when I've logged in to XP last time (just to refresh some old games) ?! I am still saying Norton360 is not bad product, but the platform (OS) is just screwing all up and definitelly not worth to spend my money. Linux is free source, all aps are free, and no worry for virus, malware and whatever else. This from me.
