This is a good release. There will always be better and worse releases in this type of software, because it is so broad. In the last 2-3 releases, CIS's AV definitions have stepped it up a notch. My Jotti.org tests show that it catches everything that the others catch. Some (AVG comes to mind) miss some malware that Comodo identifies. So now the complaint that the AV definitions are weak doesn't wash. Try it yourself on Jotti.org.

manual scan froze, to many false detect, had to hard reset computer. to bad. this suite need many fixes untill fully usefull. :(

Of all the free Network Protection Software, available free for ( HOME USE ), 'Comodo firewall pro' 3.0.13.268 - is the dog's danglies. 10/10 -pity the other :- anti- spyware programs , anti- malware programs , anti- rootkit programs, & finally anti- virus, programs. so far none found cannot support a symbiosis type relation-ship, either resident, nor on a rota basis. (obviously manual start - etc), . . . formatted hdd's yesterday, new XpProSp3 + drivers today, will try C.I.S. after restore-point and will post back shortly (upto 1 week) 3 as it's comodo, for now. _d.b_ OKAY [ I have chosen not to install the a/v - portion of the set-up !! taking notes?]-trust avg8.????? surf engine seems to be a 3square inch window that does nothing, then try the update button!!!! 106 error firewall "NONE-PRO" 3.8.65951.477 = seems fine, "but will look at further", some install issues, namely no "white shield(with the redX's 'n green ticks)" - So [All program]->[comodo] start-> fixing things?, (safer than an unplug lan->remove old, install new, re-plug lan !!!) ???? this beta gets 3 (as it's a beta) , now getting the restore activated, B4 trying the newer standalone? comodo pro firewall

Desaster. This version does not allow passing log in screen. And trying to update, I get error 106 message. Why, I don't know, because update works fine on laptop. The same problem I had with tre previous version as well. This way CIS becomes unuseful.

Pretty good for a free internet security software, but it's not without flaws. My biggest gripe is high memory usage during scan and poor virus detection rate. It should also be more user friendly, like Norton

Defense+ is too sensitive, not smart enough..that you end up just disabling it out of annoyance. Antivirus gets a few that the others don't but misses some that ALL the others detect! Firewall is its strongest point - seems as good or better than anything else I've tried.

Comodo Firewall is the best right now, free or otherwise. The AV component is optional, and Defense + is less resource intensive than ThreatFire. Matousec has this firewall at the top- better than both Online Armor and Outpost, which are both noisier and more resource hungry than Comodo.

Makes your system real slow, and is horribly dumb in comparison to some REAL internet security suites. and Buggy as hell.

pretty good security package, the Av component isn't really up to scratch yet but is improving all the time so at the moment I'd use a separate AV, the firewall is top notch and Defense + is excellent when configured correctly. Don't take any notice of the ridiculous negative comments below, they are obviously written by people who don't know how to configure this security app.

The firewall concept might be good but it never installed. I tryed on several commuters including new and every time it failed to work as expected. I had to get rid of manually and reset the network adapters drivers in order to restore connection.

I've tried Outpost, Kaspersky, Norton and Online Armor, and while Outpost is the only one I'd consider at least equal to this product, this one is free and beats anything else hands down. Virtually no slowdowns, very configurable, awesome support and community. As for the other components, the antivirus is very new and has some room to be improved, the HID component is very good but a bit chatty for my taste. If you look for a firewall, look no further!

So far... the best internet security program I ever tested. Now I'm using it and I feel protected. Even avast! fails in detect and clean some viruses with heuristics, but this doesn't. RECOMENDED 100%

Epic fail. Fortunately there are other freeware decent firewalls like Online Armor or Agnitum Outpost 2009 Free http://download.cnet.com...0-10435_4-10913746.html and a bunch of good freeware antiviral tools.

Now is adware, is a shame that Comodo include that tyoe of aplications in his installer by default, sorry Comodo.
