Comodo firewall has always been one of the best; fairly intuitive; does it what is claims. Defense +: a nagging, bothersome programme. Tries to do too much when really people are happy with other anti-virus and just want a good firewall. As others have said Comodo was always a choice firewall, and it still is; it's just been bundles with anti-virus that not everyone wants. My version 3 nagged me to upgrade, downloaded, removed the old version, refused to setup correctly and left me without protection. It simply will not install, so I've had to go with Zone Alarm - which frankly is bothering me a lot less.I'm still giving it three stars because the firewall is clearly excellent, but this 'package' is a failure.

The Comodo Team has tirelessly put out the best products on the market. From the incredibly easy to use and undersatnd interface, to the complete control over what go in and out in CIS, everything they have is amazing. 10 Stars from me! Nothing at all, I like it all so far :) Comodo is just easy to use, and the best out there. I am no beginner when it comes to Computer Security, and in all my years, nothing touches Comodo. From there free products to help those of us that cannot afford the more expensive products, to the Free License Keys they offer via their Forums for those truly in need, it is all wonderful. And it isn't shoddy work, it is profession enterprise strength, no matter what version you have, whether it be The Business or free, you can rest assured that if you have them installed, your computer is safe. And safer still, knowing that they have a Virus-Free guarantee. To you, Comodo Team, I tip my hat...

I used this on a new build for a customer who did not have any security software yet. It provided peace of mind while downloading updates from Microsoft and initial setup of internet connection. I intend to do further research into the paid version I have no problems with this software. I think security software should be intuitive, unobtrusive, and affordable. This application met all those needs.

None so far... See "Bottom-line summary:" Comodo would not accept my correct email address. Did tests with five real addresses, but none was accepted. How can you make such a mistake? It's incredibly clumsy. As a result the confidence for Comodo diminish almost to zero. For more info: http://forums.comodo.com/help-cevpn/wont-accept-my-email-address-t41828.0.html

Nice Features, Highly adjustable and powerful. None that I can think of Comodo has the best firewall available. It's almost crazy that you get this and all sorts of other security software Free from Comodo. I highly recommend the Firewall as it's Rock Solid.

A rock solid Firewall, maybe one of the best you can get and it's totally FREE! Don't know really any cons yet as I haven't played enough with the rest but I know the Firewall is very good. Even if you only get this software for the Firewall you are getting a Great Deal! It is very Very Good. I'm sure the rest is also good but we all need a good Firewall and Comodo provides it.

Easy install, VERY intuitive interface, excellent toolset, excellent at stopping malware Popups from the software learning curve can be annoying but flattens out eventually Not sure what all the other idiots are doing on here but rest assured, this software DOES NOT cause your computer to crash or any other anomalies. To those out there who say it does, try uninstalling your previous security software before installing. Or better yet.. get a clue about computers before installing. THIS is without a doubt the BEST internet suite I've ever used, bar none!!. First off, install was very easy, no hassles. The memory footprint (aka RAM useage) is less than 10K. Secondly, the firewall prompts you as to what softwares can/can't access the internet. It goes thru not only active programs but background programs as well. There is some repetitiveness with some of these programs as they can have multiple tasks associated with them but it does pad out after awhile and ceases to repeat prompting. The performance is stellar. First time I ran it , it detected 22 malware items and removed them from my laptop. My speed increased exponentially afterward. I had McAfee on prior and McAfee didnt' even come close to detecting what Comodo did.Its only found one virus so far, and disabled it accordingly. Its suite of tools is one of the best I've ever worked with (compared to McAfee, Norton, Zonealarm and AVG.... all softwares I've used in the past). Its Active process list is one of the best features and allows you to actually see what each process is doing and where its from (great for rundll32 and svchost processes). It also allows you to manage and group COM components, check on registered keys, view events, as well as checking various blocked/allowed files on your computer. Finally it has a sanbox feature which will allow a program to run but keep in pseudo-quarantine mode so it will not harm your computer. This would be used if you didn't recognize a file but felt you didnt' want to cras

Easy to install, simple to use. I am not a computer ignoramus, but I am not a computer tech either. System worked well for my home PC, no problems working with other apps. Tech support was helpful when used it online. Sandbox can be a little confusing, but once you get the jist it is fine. Good simple security

Comodo passed all 148 tests done by this independant tester. If your favorite piece of junk would be better than Comodo, then it would be below it! http://www.matousec.com/...y-challenge/results.php

Would be nice if it would use the old configuration files when you update instead of deleting them during installation and having to start from scratch and have to relearn everything. I would like to see an option to be reminded that protection is disabled after nn minutes. Not a major problem for me but the installation messages were sometimes hiding behind the initial installation screen that shows the progress and I had to pull it to the side to continue working with the current message which should have focus. I can't easily find a place to make changes to the settings once I choose an answer, in particular the sandbox.

It's a free product (although you can by their Pro version); provides great firewall and anti-virus protection; and is relatively easy to use. Comodo Firewall alone was great; when they added the Anti-virus program into the mix, they've had to make some adjustments (and are still working on them). But I feel I've been well protected in the meantime. I highly recommend Comodo Internet Security 4.1--if you're looking to make a change, you will not be disappointed by Comodo.

It runs itself and is I guess, thorough. It finds things months old in restore files it has seen many times 1)Well, the firewall shut down my wireless connections and I could find nothing to make it work. 2)See Pros. They have been doing this so long they seem to have their own vocabulary. Instructions on how to modify security for each unique installation are a bit arcane for someone who is not in the business. But it does find things, None of them seem to find everything but each finds some. However, the firewall is shut down. I could not get it to recognize my home network so that part is back to MS

Its free, full of features and pretty light. Tends to use up a lot of ram once in a while. Overall pretty good product. Unless you are retarded, you cant get any malware on your computer while using this product.

FREE, offers advanced security features (sandbox), excellent malware detection and prevention, top-rated firewall, defense+ feature is effective at keeping your computer secure. This product will only work well for those who have an above-average computer knowledge (not for Grandma) as there tend to be a lot of pop-ups, especially when the product is first launched. (Defense+ works like a HIPS feature). Overall, this is an excellent product. It offers great protection, but one must know what they are doing or they could potentially block a legitimate process or program.

Lots of choices of settings etc, lots of things to look at if you get bored and you can see what your internet connection is up to at that time. Might let the PC run a bit quicker than AVG, certainly no slower. Nothing, it seems fine but I'm just an ordinary person. Oh it can be a bit annoying putting things in the sandbox but you just have to bear with it the first few times you do stuff after installing it. I'd used AVG free for years but wasn't impressed with the latest version - fancied a change. This seems fine, it seems to tell you a lot more than AVG did which I like. Lots of options - way more than I need. It's very useful to see what my internet connection is up to and that feature has shown me things about my PC's activities that I have been able to change.

Easy to use.100% free of charge.Good safety features for ease of working withFirewall is very easy to manage.Well laid out.Nice user interface.Doesn't hog your CPU. No PC Cleaning application integrated into it. Well, after trying several security applications over the last 10 years since first connecting to the internet: Norton, AVG Free, BitDefender, Kaspersky and Trend Micro to name but a few. I was slightly convinced I wouldn't be happy with COMODO prior to installing it but as my previous Internet Security Suite was constantly crashing, and encountering errors, I went ahead assuming I'd uninstall it within a couple of hours. I was very wrong!I've been using it just over a week now, and have to say it works like a dream and is definately superior to some paid security suites on the market. After downloading, the step-by-step setup process was easy to follow through. The user interface is user friendly and attractive looking to the eye with its rich red interface. I believe this is customisable with other themes as it has a built in section to upload other ones. Memory wise, it's lightweight and doesn't clog my CPU with unnecessary applications or supposed tweaks like some other Security Suties do. Having anti-virus, anti-malware and built in firewall defense within the one free application feels like Christmas has arrived early. The only minor complaint I have with this application, is that it lacks a PC cleaner, but free ones are available such as CCleaner.Scan wise, it will naturally slow your PC down. My last full scan completed in less than 20 mins which went through over 200GB of files and applications. It detected a trojan my last suite had failed to find. After doing a quick search on the net I discovered it wasn't a false postivie either so it gets the full 10/10 for reliability. At computer startup, it's very quick to load and I've not had any 'hanging on' problems at shutdown that I've had before with some others that can make your PC wait up to 1 or 2
