I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema and it does everything and more than windows media player even plays DVDs, this combined with the codecs, makes for an awsome picture quality. Haven't found any yet Best all around player and codec pack period!

@amohadi - wow that's a really helpful review! Not... Great application, easy to install. Saves a lot of time having to hunt around for some codecs. Worth installing on a system if you find you need some codecs.

easy to install and download could be further improved... don't ask me how! Very unobtrusive. Easy to use once installed and raises the level of your media watching and listening experience.

Easy to use even as a newbe. Enjoy the user freindly benefits that comes with the program. I wish it had a little more instruction on codec set-ups. THE BEST CODEC SET AND MEDIA PLAYER OUT THERE. I would reccomend this to anyone, anywhere, anytime and promote it as though it were my own. I could just go on & on about the pluses of this codec pack and Media player,but I think you should get the idea how I feel about it by now. Thank you.

This CODEC program is a MUST have! Microsoft should have included this in all of there OS's without a doubt! NONE, Nada, Neil! Bottom line is simple, you need it, you have to have them to view video's of all sorts, and windows does not come with them! (Microsoft would charge you money to get them!)

most of all it can play many type of movie and simple to use..and we don't have to used many player.. nothing that i don't like....

Still just as awful as ever. Stick with the CCCP instead since it's VASTLY better than this hodgepodge mess of a pack.

I've been working in the Windows Live Movie Maker forums and this CODEC pack should be standard with Windows. Without this codec pack Windows Live Movie Maker can't open anything [basically]; there's issues with h264, MOV, MP4 and AVI files… This is strongly recommended if you're having issues with Windows Live Movie Maker and working with video. Oh this also allows you to work natively with FLV files in Windows Live Movie Maker- really neat. I hope this helps... Recommended. Until next time, Larry Henry Jr. LEHSYS.com

One packaged download. There is nothing not to like. Once K-Lite Codec Pack is downloaded there is no need to look further for decoding software.

Haven't tried anything lower than Full. Tried Mega no improvement. Only reason I use this is for the thumbnail generation. Version 6 was alright until a windows update broke it. Version 7 is back to the old Windows Explorer has stopped working. And 70 % of the thumbs are left blank now. Hope the patch fixes it. But Version 7 hate it.
