"Will not completely uninstall." Media player was okay. Nothing special. Didn't do what I needed it to do. Even though I uninstalled it and have no trace of it whatsoever on my computer, all of my media files are still categorized as Kantaris files. That's annoying.

Nice look on GUI Tried to take over 1. This media player was forever accessing the internet, causing me to have to tell my PC Tools firewall to cool it. 2. It lacked media tools...no equalizer etc. for audio. 3. It loaded and played an .flv video-audio file but didn't play the video...audio only. 4. It associated with every media file I have. Took me quite awhile to run a regedit on it and type in Kantaris (Find) to delete all these associations. For what it does, it is too much work. VLC is much better IMHO.

Few video controls: no seek, no AB. Crashes if multiple instances are used.

I use this as my default media player and it works very nicely. Some movies wouldn't play under my other players but they opened right away with this one. Can't think of any. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good working media player. It outshines all the rest.

Remember free, not perfect! Some menus on some dvds don't highlight when you point the clicker to choose a dvd submenu. Remember you are getting this product for free so will not be polished like Windows Media Player, but hay, better to use this than pay 15 bucks for a dvd decoder. Every new version that comes out for this product makes it better and better.

Good user interface Does not update properly, b/c when you check for updates it says it is up to date when there is a new version out. You have to uninstall the old version and install the new version Leaves behind god awful amount of registry entries when uninstalling/installing old/new versions

nice interface, good sound doesn't handle .wmv, .flv and .mov files that well.

Any movie I want to play on it usually plays. Files from my video cameras don't play well on it. It plays some but not others. Good for movies but not great with cam files.

It has a good handsome design and interface. It is very fast and efficient However, it lacks a frame/snap/photo capture device while in use. Make Kantaris better than Intervideo's windvd and it will be a classic winner. I use it most of the time despite its cons. Kindly ensure the next update has this functionality

It has a nice user interface and a nice colour scheme. It is a bit slow to start up and its built in database is very basic and is a bit annoying to use. Also the database doesn't have a search engine.

It plays the video well. But so does VLC and Gom player and I did not like the unwanted media displayed that was not my own. Ugly player in appearance and player has limited functions. I did not like this very much at all. although it played the video. The search bar did not search the web for my You Tube or my My Space videos like Miro video player does.It searches for music files mainly but it will play your own videos you have saved on your computer from your files. It did do this for me. But I found the player ugly in appearance,a black theme which you cannot change. And all of the media displayed which was content from the web that was not my own,reminded me of Real Player. Which I did not like.This player is probably all right if you like online TV or music but if you want to watch your own stuff. for example your own You Tube or My Space channel,then this player does not do that. It only plays the media in it's listings.And it does not have the functions of VLC,Windows Media or Gom players. So I would forget Kantaris-this player if I were you. I have. So one uninstall coming up.Andrea Borman.

Well it will play a dvd but thats about it. The play button brings you back to the menu screen. Infact all buttons do that. You cannot pause the film as you end up back at the menu screen. It will play dvds but thats all, just do not expect any of the buttons to work as they don't. No pause, no rewind no nothing!! Just insert the dvd and watch the film but all buttons are useless as they all return you to the menu screen. Im here trying to find a more stable one that the buttons do work on!!

Not quite as functional as other players. Just about everything. Can't think of anything good about it. Don't bother using this.

I couldn't figure out why it kept crashing so much.. then I realized it was based on VLC.. the most buggy player out there.. VLC was nice.. 10 YEARS ago when there was few alternatives... now VLC is a joke thats years behind in development of pretty much everything else out there..

Apart from being bundled with adware, bloated, resource-hungry, almost uncustomizable and ugly, the terrible buttons 'Playback', 'Last FM Radio', 'Movie Trailers' and 'Video Library' cannot be hidden, which makes Kantaris totally unusable. There are no longer portable versions which means that the developer is pushing the users into the adware trap.
