extremely handy tool with keyboard shortcuts for any file operation, no more clicking draging and opening dozens of windows to do something that is possible in a single window, ftp, file compression tools, addons there is nothing that I could list as a con I used it for the past ten years and its the most essential tool on my computer. I use it for file management, archiving, ftp although it can do much more than that. Don't be scared of it, it wasn't easy but in time I converted many of my friends from the featureless windows explorer to this amazing "swiss knife" type program and they couldn't go back now.

Easy to use & simple. Down loads are purposely confusing. Like it! Very useful!

Dual pane display is fundamental for managing file movements among storage media. Total Commander is the superlative program for this purpose. FTP download and upload management is excellent. Overwrites are politely handled. Reassuring! None come to mind. In my estimation, this is one of the most useful computer programs written, and is the first file that I open for each computer. How did we manage before beginning to use Total Commander, more than 1 decade ago? I don't want to remember. The rock-solid reliability of this program presents a high standard that few programs or operating systems attain. Kudos to Christian!

Perfect integration of complex features like working with Compressed Archives, Visualisation of Folder properties, Comparison between folders. And a fine FTP client. Rock solid programming., even when running multiple instances. I have no Cons but I must mention that this program is for the advanced computer user due to its powerful nature. I have been using a Commander application since the Dos era when there was a program called Norton Commander, then it became Windows Commander and now with Total Commander it is still the best tool out there. If you have a basic understanding of computers this program will maximise your results and you well never have to use a desktop or other file manager again. Also the option to use it without having to register (good for system administrators working on different locations) makes it a valuable tool in my everyday toolset. Give it a go, play around with it and you will be sold.
