Trillian is a multi-network chat client that currently supports IRC, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! Messenger. It supports all of the features you've come to expect from a good IM client, including but not limited to docking, multi-line edit boxes, buddy alerts, multiple connections to the same medium, a powerful skinning language, easy importing of your existing contacts, skinnable emoticons, logging, "global" away/invisible features, and a unified contact list. It is completely free with no nag screens or built-in ads.

The fact that you can log in all of your IM accounts once. Despite being able to log in multiple account, it has the downside of not being able to be logged in from multiple localations

I like the fact it uses less memory than other instant messengers There is nothing to dislike

It has overcome the connectivity issues with some IM clients that plagued previous versions. Not bright enough to check for administration privileges before attempting upgrades during program launch.

Great IM I use it 24hrs.Fast and uses minimal resources.Connects to every used protocol.Custom windowing options with pro. Tries to deceptively add crapware to your computer. Can't recommend this, because of the tricky setup.Lack of photo/music sharing/custom emoticons. Setup is a minefield to get through! That's what everyone is talking about.Great IM for the minimalist; uses little resources.Overall great for simple chat, but if you want other (newer) features look somewhere else.

Can't think of any. More bloated and I do not like the appearance. Liked the old one better.

Support for several IM clients. Tricky, deceptive installation. Tries to install toolbars and change your browser home page. BEWARE! Malware!Doesn't work: When trying to add hotmail and skype accounts nothing happens - contacts does not show up etc etc.HORRIBLE user interface! Don't install this client. I used to like trillian a lot, but something really bad seems to have happened to it since Astra (whoever they are) took over it.

Trillian is good at allowing you to setup a single interface for dealing with multiple IM products. I hate the updates. every time they upgrade software I end up losing info. The acct information gets lost from version to version. Which means if you have trillian automatically log you in then you do not remember the name or pwd. especially IRC if you are into using multiple IMs, and I mean more than one, then use this product. But dont trust it to keep your info, WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE. I dunno why I say that, nobody does it, even me.

Works fine, and installs quickly. Uncluttered GUI Low system resource usage Works as advertised Sound effects for emotes Tabbed chatting keeps desktop clear Profiles make signing on to multiple accounts a breeze Bad client security. Tested and found that username and passwords are easily stolen, and transmitted into a bot net. Verified on clean installed Windows 7, and confirmed with Trend Micro's RUbotted Trickery during install for a toolbar

As similar to WLM than any other program, easy to use, many preferences for customization You can't see your contacts' status in the chat windows like WLM If WLM didn't crash every 2 minutes, I'd definitely be sticking to it. However, Trillian is the next best program I found that doesn't need much adaption. It pretty much is WLM with different themes and program face.

Yahoo, AIM, and Facebook chat all in one application and even tabbed in the same window. That's everything I need. And it offers so much more: A great UI, mail notification, tons of emoticons, a skinable interface, file transfer, even widgets. Very little not to like. It would be nice to be able to change the color of the services but that's so minor. The best chat application I've used. Lets me be available to my associates and friends seamlessly and disconnect from one or the other as needed. Add to that a bunch of extras that make the application fun to use and it's everything I need and more.

I like that it combines my IM services, and I like the 'look' of it. Not intuitive; Can't figure out how to add people; Shows all people as offline when I am offline, even if they aren't. The finctionality is not intuitive, or maybe it just doesn't work. I have sent messages to add other people and they never get them. When I go to Gmail IM, I can add them right away, then they show up in Trillian, but I can't add them from Trilian. Also, unless I am "online" I can't see who else is online. It is just plain hard to use. But I like the idea of it, combining all IM services as one, so I continue to use it.

Easily to clean the computer, and uninstall the remaining part of applications takes too long to clean the system

Installing was easy, constntly updated, doesn't have any effect on other applications (like speed) Haven't encountered none yet.

Brings back files from the dead, costs absolutely nothing, is easy to use Showed a few items that couldn't be recovered Excellent piece of software that was a real find. I'd recommend it to anyone. It has a clean interface, is extremely easy to use and did the job superbly. Indeed, as far as file recovery goes, there's absolutely nothing more you could ask from a free product. My only (grasping at straws) gripe/recommendation for improvement was that it showed several files that I couldn't actually recover as they were too far gone. However, from memory, this was indicated by the icon alongside so, I feel, is overtly critical. As stated earlier, I would recommend this to anyone.

Easy to understand, easy to use, effective. Thank you none that I could see - sure, if it was faster it would be a bonus
