Fairly good file manager. Interface is smooth with a reasonable amount of features. The file Find is excellent. Still lacking in some features such as Tabs (rather than the 1990's dual pane view). There are many configuration options. Turning on the folder tree (or "folder bar") is a must, as is turning off the auto sized columns and selecting Delayed Extract Icons to increase the speed. Needs some features that other freeware explorers have (see FreeCommander - which has good features, but its own set of issues).

Very good file manager. It doesn't contain such annoying functionality as media player, clock panel and so on, what other file managers contain. But it has all necessary functionality for comfort and quick files browsing. A lot of very useful features: file tooltips with previews for mostly using file types, configurable for specific folder columns, folder bookmarks, different types of folder's view. And - sure - File Find. That's, from my point of view, one of the best functional places in an application, really amazing and extremely useful! By no means, all operations could be done without using a mouse, just with a key shortcuts. But from my point of view it still needs some additions. First of all, tabs. Just two-panes interface is not enough already, especially when you work with two-three FTP servers simultaneously. It will be very good to have a possibility not just to open archives but also to create them. And finally (a "blue dream"), it will be really the best file manager when developer adds at least text files viewing and editing, even with such simple functions as notepad has. But anyway, one of the best file managers I've seen. My mark is 5-, but as tabs are in an extremely close future I set 5 instead of 4.

Does not work at all. I get the following error: "See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. at System.Threading.Monitor.Enter(Object obj) at Nomad.FileSystem.LocalFile.FileSystemItem.ExtractIcon(Size size) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\FileSystem\File\CustomFileSystemItem.cs:line 390 at Nomad.FileSystem.LocalFile.FileSystemItem.GetIcon(Size size, Boolean canUseDelayedExtract) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\FileSystem\File\CustomFileSystemItem.cs:line 441 at Nomad.FileSystem.LocalFile.FileSystemItem.GetIcon(Size size, IconStyle style) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\FileSystem\File\CustomFileSystemItem.cs:line 505 at Nomad.FileSystem.Virtual.VirtualIcon.GetIcon(IVirtualItem item, Size size, IconStyle style) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\FileSystem\Virtual\UI\IconOptions.cs:line 67 at Nomad.VirtualFilePanel.CreateListViewItem(IVirtualItem item, Int32 itemIndex, Boolean isParentFolder) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\VirtualFilePanel.cs:line 2081 at Nomad.VirtualFilePanel.listView_RetrieveVirtualItem(Object sender, RetrieveVirtualItemEventArgs e) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\VirtualFilePanel.cs:line 2751 at System.Windows.Forms.ListView.OnRetrieveVirtualItem(RetrieveVirtualItemEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ListView.ListViewNativeItemCollection.get_Item(Int32 displayIndex) at System.Windows.Forms.ListView.ListViewItemCollection.get_Item(Int32 index) at System.Windows.Forms.ListView.get_TopItem() at Nomad.Controls.ListViewEx.WndProc(Message& m) in D:\Programming\Projects\Nomad.NET\Nomad\System\VirtualListEx.cs:line 496 at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at S

Better than freecommander imo. BUT. Crashed when tried to open shell folders dialog and when I changed font view, system folders were displayed only with icon and I was given access denied bs. Almost a useable explorer replacement. I'll stick with TC for now. BTW, if you want to help fix this post your details on dev's site and not here retard

This is a much better release than the one I last reviewed. There are many really good features and a few bugs - I can't get it to start up with the last workspace layout, but no big deal. I hope it continues to improve.

Surprisingly nice, feature-wise, and pleasant-looking. But still not in the same league as Total Commander. However, it's being improved at a fast rate, so I'll keep an eye on it. Besides, it's completely free To the developer(s): Good job, keep it up

Have used this for a while, and is a very good file explorer. Does what I need it to do as far as working with files.

Used this proggie for a long while, then newer versions installed non-functional. This current version installed and functions on 64-bit WinVista. Seems to have all the features one would want for an app of this kind. The DataRat
