WinPatrol monitors your computer and does not allow applications to simply add themselves to the startup menu or associate files to themselves. Everything is caught by winpatrol. It then asks if you agree to what modifications are being done or not.

Very friendly, absolutely fuss-free app that keeps watching over my laptops for sneaky installs and system changes. Occasionally, may interfere with some software installation, as those installations attempt to make changes to my system, without first checking with me. One of the few software that I never regretted buying and should be bundled with all new laptop packages sold.

The Full Version (shareware) is doing the job great, but the 'Freeware' version is totally useless. The delay built into the freeware version (to induce you yo buy the Full version) causes the warning come too late - the malware is already installed. I use RegProt', which is free, works like a charm, and is tiny, so uses very little resources.

Easy to install, has no down side that I've found. Haven't found any. Excellent product.

Warns you of new startup programs. None that I can think of. Well worth installing and updating.

I like the way it verifies the program you have just put in. None that I have seen so far. It's worth the extra protection that it gives.

Helps me to determine what programs I want to run right away or I can delay the start of some. Nothng at this time. So glad I have this program!!

Great little program and lets you do a lot of tasks which you would normally ignore. So far, none. Had program for years and does a great job.

Never causes any problems; startup is much faster than it was before I started using it. None that I can think of...
