WebLog Expert is a powerful access log analyzer. It will give you information about your site's visitors: activity statistics, accessed files, paths through the site, information about referring pages, search engines, browsers, operating systems, and more. The program produces easy-to-read HTML reports that include both text information (tables) and charts. WebLog Expert Lite is a free log analyzer, light-weight version of WebLog Expert. It allows you to quickly and easily analyze your log files and get information about your site's visitors: activity statistics, what files visitors accessed, information about referring pages, search engines, browsers, operating systems, and more.

We have tested for our company 6 windows based log analysers. 5 of them them could not deal with the size of our logs (> 2 gigs) or where unstable (crashing) because they were buffering in memory causing swapping. We have tested this product with logsizes also > 4 Gigabytes. Still worked fine and fast. We used 3 days for choosing an analyser (installing, testing). If you want to save the testing time use this. The most detailed view on activity is per hour only. But to see Problems or peaks in serverload a more detailed timeline (minute even seconds) are needed. But no other analyzer we tested has this feature, either. I would like it if the engineers if weblog expert would add this feature too.

There used to be a time that this was a great package. Fast and provided basic statistics. But it now has forgotten to evole and still only provides basic functionality which doesn't justify its price. Google Analytics can do so much more and give real insight on what is happening on your website. WLE just provides some graphs and statistics and getting meaningful information out of it is just about impossible.

Klaus, I agree with you completely. That's why you should definitely check out Web Log Storming. It's also a log analyzer, but with a twist: you can interactively browse through stats and dig out pretty much anything that you can imagine.

This product is highly adaptable so I can get just the stats I want. It allows me to run reports on different domains without the need for an additional license. Reports look professional, offering graphs of data along with charts. Great support. Log files must be downloaded to computer before they can be analyzed. This is an excellent product, I would highly recommend it.

I like the depth of statistical analysis. I am able to see: Top visited pages, Top referrers, top search phrases, where they are entering, and where they are coming. There is much more which helps me analyze me marketing efforts. Understanding this is a free product, I still do wish there was exit page information available. Simplicity of use is my number one concern. Second is amount of detail provided. This product does a fantastic job in both areas. I have examined other free products. They are fail on one or both of my requirements. I do also use Google Analytics, but find it to fail on ease of use and its accuracy. Because I am able to use my weblog through Weblog Expert, the information I receive is far superior to Google Analytics.
