Excellent software, installed without a hitch. No problems at all and I use windows 7 X64. I did read, not sure if it was on ATI/AMD network or another place that the new CCC will not work on XP. Those using XP need to get serious now and update to a newer OS. Software makers will not continue to support XP forever, you all know this when you buy a OS it has its limits, get over it. If you do not know what your doing, seek help, there is no shame in it, that is what I did to gain knowledge and I also went back to college to learn computers at age 49 and I am not over 60 now.. But to place here that software is junk when you have no idea what your doing, is silly.

Rubbish, like so many ATI driver sets before it, it has issues. I've very temped to go with Gforce because it is beginning to really bother me. I had the Catalyst Control Centre recently "gut" itself, only a shell with no options was left. I found this out after support for my second monitor "disappeared." I figured it was my 9.3 drivers so I upgrade to the latest "legacy" pack from AMD and this is what I got on reboot: http://www.pbase.com/andersonrm/image/131483246 I'm basically past the point where I can spend hours trouble-shooting a box.

It works ok, no problems here. Using the *64 version. Not crashed etc. Can't see any thing wrong with it. File size has become bigger over the versions, but then when you consider hard drives have also become bigger, it's not such a big issue. :)

Crashed my computer when installing on Windows 7 64-bit. I looked over the .inf files and found that the install directory is missing difxapi.dll. No problem after I copied the file from the Bin64 folder into Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\B111431. Not the first time I've had trouble with AMD's poorly written software. Stupid AMD.

Not compatible with Intel CPU laptops that have switchable graphics and it's all AMD's fault.

More stable in Civilization V under Windows 7 64 bit than Nvidia has been but I'm frustrated by two things so far. If I run DX9 games, they adhere to the "centered" LCD Scaling deal, so if I run 1280x960 on my 1600x1200 screen, it shows in actual 1280x960 resolution with black space on all 4 sides of the screen. But, if I run DX11 games, they stretch edge to edge regardless of the setting in the driver. With DX9 games, I can ALT-TAB to the desktop no problem but with DX11 games, it won't do it properly. Any ideas as to why? I'm still going through the drivers in terms of testing and will post any follow-ups as they are warranted.

The drivers work fine. Some people have had a problem with prior version, but there's a workaround. The problem has to do with installing the AMD Catalyst Drivers before you install the Windows Update Catalyst Driver. If you attempt to install the AMD Catalyst Drivers first, the installer will end with "Failed to Detect Hardware". They should really make the procedure clearer.

Not under any circumstances update to this version of Catalyst. It will disable video in your browser.

These have a few hiccups. In fact, I just saw that they came out with 11.5a HOTFIX version to handle things that this driver goofed on and lacked. So, if I was you, I'd skip 11.5 and wait for 11.6 and hope they don't need hotfixes for that one too. 11.4 is working ok so far, so at least there is that to use until they get this figured.

lol, after years of investigation, they still haven't found their issue with the mouse cursor.

Similar problems as Elf, creates somewhat of a mess, uninstalled it completely and also reinstalled 11.4 with no problem. 11.6 is not right, I would stay clear of it if I were you unless you wish a two hour fix it job like I had. Windows 7 x64 OS

If you have any XP issues installing ATI drivers the best version to try is 10.6. Trying every version between 10.7 and 11.1 they all caused problems in there own way. If you're running XP they haven't built a video card for years so I would settle with 10.6.

Works great for me, seems to be a problem with the C++ installation and that part of it crashes. I was concerned at first, but decided to just let it slide and see what happens. They worked great that's what happened. I can't understand all of these people having issues. I install every fresh set on both my systems and never have any of these issues. You know what they say in the tech business right? 99% of all computer problems are user related. So stop blaming ATI and learn how to install drivers. lost a star for the C++ issue.

Won't work on my laptop. It's not HP's fault because they fully support installing stock AMD graphics drivers on their Core i5-based Pavilion dm4 laptops. It's AMD's fault because they STILL don't support laptops with switchable graphics. AMD really needs to fix this.

My system currently runs on the HD5670 card and everything's just fine after updating to the latest driver. I never have a problem with the driver. It's usually the software I have a problem with, considering it has a tendency to stop loading sometimes, which makes it tough to access the settings when I need to change them. Otherwise, I'm satisfied and so far, so good. Hopefully it stays that way.
